Destash Raffle

The Destash Raffle is an ongoing event hosted by +Nyx that allows players to turn in "junk" items for raffle tickets.

The Raffle System

At first, the raffle building may seem a smidgen confusing or overwhelming. Not to worry, though, it's laid out for maximum efficiency and it is very easy to use. Please read this page carefully so you fully understand how the raffle works.

Location

The raffle building is located in Excelsior Halls. From the teleporter, follow the path south and take the first path to the East. You can't miss it. The building is open at all times, except between raffles.

Patch Requirements

You must be fully patched to participate in this raffle. If you cannot see black and tan striped walls on the building - You are not properly patched and will not be able to see the raffle tickets in your backpack!

Building Organization

Each room is for a specific set of items and each room has a bright white sign near the entrance that tells you what items that room is for. For example, there is a room labeled "Gauntlet Artifacts", which has boxes accepting artifacts found in the Gauntlet.

Once inside a room, there are various metal chests surrounded by items on tables. Each section of tables is separated, so that the metal chest takes only the items that are displayed on the tables surrounding it. Where you see gaps between the tables, that is indicating a new section of items for a new deposit box.

Items Accepted in the Raffle

Generally, all rooms are open in each raffle. Sometimes, though, some types of items will not be accepted to a specific raffle. Rooms for categories of items that are not being accepted in the current raffle will be blocked off.

Here is a list of the items you can submit in the Destash Raffle

Submitting Items

- Each item requires a specific number be submitted before rewarding a ticket. Once you drop the item into the box, you'll receive a system message that tells you how many more you need to deposit before receiving a ticket. You will likely want to make note of this number for your own reference. The staff will not be able to find out for you. Keep track for yourself if you will want to know how many more of an item you need to submit before receiving a ticket.

- Boxes only take the items displayed. Attempting to drop any other item into the boxes will result in the item being returned to your pack.

- Every deposit box accepts numerous different items. Each item a box takes is on its own counter. On a particular box, you may need to drop in 5 teapots in order to receive a ticket; but on the same drop box you might also be able to drop a painting, and that would require its own specific number of deposits before returning a ticket.

- Some items are grouped in boxes by direction or type. All greater Tokuno pigments are on one counter - you can drop in any combination of colors to reach the required number for a ticket. This also works for all items with multiple directions - You can drop a small square basket facing east and a small square basket facing west, and they will both give credit on the same counter. Generally speaking any item with multiple directions or colors will be grouped this way.

- Items with uses or charges must be in their full, unused state in order to be submitted. For example, you cannot submit a prospector's tool with only 1 use left on it.

- Some items, primarily the Tokuno basket rares, must be in their original hue in order to be submitted.

- Due to the way some items are scripted serverside, a small number of items were not able to be grouped. Dip tubs, for example, are separated by type. Instead of excluding them all together, I've simply added them each to their own counter. So, you'd need to add the required number of lightning dip tubs in order to receive a ticket; but you are not able to combine lightning and Poison dip tubs for the same count.

- Where there are items of exceptional value in the same grouping as ones of little to no value, I have excluded the high value items to help prevent "oopsies". For example, you are not able to turn in bone crushers, the box that accepts champion skulls will not accept the skull of enlightenment, and you cannot submit stat scrolls over +35.

Raffle Tickets

Raffle tickets are account bound and cannot be traded or sold. You are free to sell the items required for this raffle, but not the tickets themselves. The raffle will only accept tickets created after the day the current raffle started.

You will deposit items into their drop box and be rewarded a partial ticket. You then drop your partial ticket into the bright pink "Ticket Changer" box. 5 partial tickets will return a full raffle ticket which can then be dropped into the gold "Raffle Ticket Box".

Depositing Tickets

Deposit your raffle tickets into the gold "Raffle Ticket Box" which is located in the main room of the bottom floor along the west wall.

NOTE: The ticket box will only take tickets that were generated after the start of the current raffle. Old tickets from previous raffles will not be accepted.

Rules

- Each raffle has a minimum number of tickets required for the grand prize to be given. Should there be fewer than the displayed number of tickets at the end of the raffle period, one of the alternate prizes will be given based on the final number of tickets. The alternate prizes are not displayed - they are door prizes that are only revealed if they are given.

- Your account must be 7 days or older to enter the raffle building.

- Almost all spells are disabled in the raffle building, as are pets. This is to prevent spam, trolling, and blocking visibility.

- Once you have submitted an item it is gone. You cannot page and request to have your item returned to you. You cannot pay to have it recovered from a backup. It. Is. Gone. Do NOT deposit ANY item you are not 100% willing to lose for the sake of a raffle ticket. There will be absolutely no exceptions made for anyone, at any time. In order to contribute an item to this raffle, you will have had to place it onto your character, pick it up, drag it to the box, and drop it in. There is absolutely no other way for an item to end up in these boxes. This does not ever happen by accident. I understand that dragging dozens of items can be tedious, and you may be temped to create a script to do it for you; you may do so if you wish but you do so at your own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure the item you are submitting is the one you mean to submit.

- If you receive jail tasks higher than 10 at any point during this raffle you will be disqualified. Any AFK violations beyond a warning will disqualify you from the current raffle.

- If you discover a problem or a possible cheat/exploit with the raffle, send +Nyx a page in game. Direct it to her, and explain the issue in the body of the page.

- Please note that gathering and filling BODs AFK is not allowed on our shard. If you are found to be in violation of this rule for the purpose of submitting many tickets to the raffle, you will be disqualified from the raffle.

When Each Raffle Ends

- On the posted ending date, the raffle will be closed. +Nyx will perform the drawing and the winner will be announced, generally within 2 days of close.

- If you do not win a raffle, you may still be eligible for a participation prize. Each raffle will feature an additional prize for players submitting a certain amount of tickets. This number will be displayed on the signs outside the building for each raffle. This is to help encourage players to contribute to cleaning up the shard (and their own storage space) even if they don't win the primary prize.

Grand Prizes

The Grand Prize for each raffle is displayed inside the building's main room along the North wall.
