Hi all Tame here. Could we maybe have new players or any player start with a stat ball in there bank so they can worry about skills instead of stats I under stand if you cant but if you can could you plzz

Wow. What next? Will you ask for a full set of relayers because you're too lazy to work for them? Or maybe an automatic Admin status for each player - let them do what they want? If you lack the patience to grind your stats for a couple of days then UO is not a game for you. Perhaps try tetris - all action, no grinding there.

And for the less obvious trolls:
Gaining skills and stats slowly has a defined purpose - for the player to learn how to play while training. The GMs were nice enough to give those of us who already have the know-how (starting an alt for example) to skip the skill leveling by in-world use and just use the trainer. While it is a less hands-on method it still requires us to make an effort, which is fine by me.

Little harsh, Ilsanor... While an amusing example of Reductio ad absurdum, it is not the same request.

I do agree that there is no reason to add stat balls, and that it gives a reason to learn while you play, but let's not jump all over honest questions.

As I see it, tame is a new poster. Let's not introduce ourselves to him by trying to make him feel stupid =)

Oh, were it a question out of pure lack of knowledge I might have answered it in a way that is not as... harsh, as you put it. But I see no reason to enable people who simply lack patience and expect freebies. And maybe I'm blind, but nowhere in my post I mentioned his stupidity. The only trait I was condescending about was his laziness. I will not be sorry about that.

Average person sleeps 8 hours a night.
Stat gains every 15 minutes here, meaning you can get about 30 points in a stat while you dream of fighting off the zombie apocalypse.

Half agree with Larsa, we don't need anything else handed out on the shard
Half agree with the OP, would be interesting to give new players a choice of items, as opposed to just giving them a skill ball, a pet bond deed and newbie scissors.

Would be fun to see some options, such as:
Stat or Skill Ball
A 105 pscroll
Ethy horse
Newbie weapon or helm
Full mage book

etc etc.
