Yeah, the change baffles me for some reason without any real reason why. When this was first talked about I just figured maybe we had a lot more Euro players then I was aware of but now with the flags posted on the front page I can see this clearly is not even close. A primarily USA player based being told to donate in Euro's, just seems odd. In my mind the example is me walking into McDonalds where I live and being told to pay in some other currency.

So if I understand this then, the majority of the player base will get less eds for their money but others who do not donate will have more access to eds. Whats next, every time I claim a corpse a new player gets 10 gold from it? Don't get me wrong, this is just my opinion because in the end I decide what to donate no one else.

:O i just wanted to inform peeps but if you want my option.

the price of eds will go up from this because the supply will be lower. plus, with the population increasing as it is, and because this is a free shard, which means less people who can donate play them; means only that the competition for the eds will be higher, thus making the demand higher. as it stand right now my monthly donation of 100 usd's, which gave me 1100 eds will now be lowered to 700 eds or i could donate 140.99 usd's to make it 100 euros for that 10% bump. that's 400 eds less per donation or 41 dollars more per donation, which means i can only really donate every 3rd month of 281.9801 usd for the 200 euros. which just means i'm out 1.1k eds per 3 months.
now some peeps are gonna say you should donate because you want to donate not because you want eds. but here's what i'm saying....do i need the eds? no, what do i need it for? not into house slots, have max pet slots, have one of the best gears, not into deco (not really), and i have already met my personal goals in the game. I normally end up selling them to my friends for good discounts, or i do weapon change deeds to try new things.

i'll probably still donate. just not as frequent.

I said the same thing Nelapsi said in game the day it was changed, why change the donations to euro when the clear majority of the shard is from north America, doesnt seem logical, less donation will lead to inflation of the eds in game and pretty soon, all the newer player will have to work their butts off to get stuff from the ed stones which i think will lead to forcing people to donate to get ed's since they wont be has affordable in game, and not all of us have the money to donate often, i was able to donate for a total of maybe 200 usd in the last 8 months and at the exchange rate euro is, i wont be donating anytime soon, i dont mind saying i donate for the ed's!

I sure would like to know the reason behind this! Even the player base from europe are penalised by this and get less for their money! Why not keep it to 1 ed per usd and 1 ed per euro, seems fair to everyone!

I guess im no economist for a reason cause i just dont get it!

Hrm... I can see ED's skyrocketing in price even with: "But more ED will be made available by other means (for example Exex)."

Trust this to get implemented just as the Aussie dollar jumps the USD. Still means I get more Euoros for my dollar but oh well. I cant see myself wanting to donate at the current rate of AUD:ED..

I loaded the donation window the other night and was about to submit some USD but once i realised we were compensated based off of Euro i changed my mind =c guess we're all greedy

I didnt realize there had been a change until I went to the donation page to donate. I would have been happy with at least a "Hey April 1st donations are going up" or something. Thats more money than I am willing to part with on a regular basis. Ahh well.

i dont understand why it has to be 100 ED per 1 Euro
it should be 100 ED per dollar you send no matter where your from, japan, canade, USA everywhere
cause its like being punished for not living in europe..
idk i just find it kinda foolish that its made this way. i mean for a game we MUST pay in euros
lets just say i were to donate 50 USD i would only get 350 ED's (35.5 euros) which is almost half but not quite..
its like im just flushing 15 dollars away.
dont get me wrong euther i know dontating means to give away anyways. but why not make it fair to the ones who do donate and use 1 dollar in any currency for 100 ED.. idk that sounds prett pair to me
