I know that these are not endgame axes but I've made them myself and think it would be cool to level one to 100. Does anyone have any input as to which of the 2 I should stick with?

The first one, for sure. The slayer one is no good.

if you use the demon slayer you would take double damage from elementals

That first axe will get you pretty close to end game. While player weps don't have enough spending points to add two spell hits, it does have the hidden +4 to base damage for being a crafted exceptional. So as long as you have lightning and fireball, the extra base damage partially makes up for not having harm or magic arrow.
