IDOC Event market effects

Just wondering what effect the flood of loot from the IDOC event will have on the markets etc.

I know things like those which are purchased from the ED room, stones & decor rooms are exempt from the drop. Still that could mean massive quantities of other things will "suddenly" be available. Stuff that comes to mind to me are the sorts of things that fill my own house storage. Some as follows:

Ingots, Boards, Gold, ED's, Mithril Bars, T-Maps & the like, BoD collections, BoD rewards (+5 wear & +hammers etc), leveled weapons stashes, Rares, kegs(full or not), Bios & pets, really anything that can now be stored on [exex, just to name a few.
Oh lets not forget artifacts either.

Even after [exex I still keep many of theses items in chests in my house, Sometimes I even leave storage keys and houses in storage & not on my toon.

Maybe some of these things are also exempt from dropping? Not really sure.

More then once have I seen suggestions in WC shot down because some change would de-value something. How can this event not do the same.

There are many gold sinks here to remove excess gold from the economy. Raffles, Commissions, rents & auctions etc. Can't help but think this "free treasure" will be the reverse of that.

I know many people will not care about getting all this free stuff that can be flogged off to other people and future newbies. Unfortunately I am concerned. Sad it might be but this shard is my only release from the real world at present & last 3 years.

Should not the vacant land be reward enough?

Been playing here 7 years and consistently see people concerned about how X or Y is going to affect the market, etc. EDs have always hovered around 49k-52k the entire time I've been here. Nothing swings it permanently.

+C said he's still thinking about certain things last I chatted with him. I did suggest to him that all gold, checks, EDs, tokens, and mithryl ingots should just go *poof* for the sake of the economy. It's cool to get items etc but if you flood the market with a ton of these things it's going to throw everything out of whack.

Hmm so since he's taken all gold tokens ed's out i guess if those people logg back in again he should delete them from their accounts so it does'n mess up antiquated ideals about economy.
Maybe while he's at it he should delete all resources from dropping from the idocs as well so as to not mess with the economy.
Maybe we shouldn't allow any titans hammers or bone crushers or SOT's to fall out of houses iether .
Having Idocs only drop on set date is beyond me since thats never the way the original UO was ever made.
