Ok first off I can't possibly take credit for this idea and maybe ts been discussed before. But here we go. Last time I played UO is when SPhere Server .54 Ruled. We had this event Incinde Radi Var or a raid. Not to insult anyones intelligence, but let me break it down "Barney Style" for the new players. Players that would like ot Participate would gather in front of a dungeon. I'n front of this dungeon there would be one or more GM's. Now heres the fun part. The GM's would use common sense and spawn creatures that the players could fight. Not to say any of the GM's lack in this sense but you really have to get the feel of this event. Its fun for everyone. I would even encourage the creation submission of players and GM's alike for new, harder, 15+ player team creatures for events like this. I would welcome all remarks Pros and cons to this post.

I've done this one before. We called it Monster Bash.
Gather the players in an unused dungeon, no pets. A staff member spawns monsters, starting with the lowest and gradually working up to the biggest and baddest. Key here is that either staff rezes or there is a rez stone right there. Generally everyone dies alot. The problem is that vets can usually one-shot the weak monsters so the newbies don't get much of a chance. A possible solution is that vets sit out the beginning, perhaps taking over rez duties until the mid-range monsters are spawned and then join in the killing.
We also did this for just newbies, staying with low end monsters. Called that one the Skill building monster bash as they usually gained skills fairly quickly.
Both types of event would last about an hour.
