Evaluate my weapon please
Evaluate my weapon please
I currently have the weapon below and I am thinking of getting a better one but I may have a good one already. Please chime in and let me know what you think i should look for in my next weapon or is there something I should do to improve the one I have already? I'm just looking for guidance on my next step.
Note: It says Katan but I changed it to a double axe

That weapon is very strong. Double axe suits it. It is strong enough to make 1 handed in my opinion. You will only be upgrading that thing with a 4/5x58 base.
Personally, I prefer to carry 2 weapons, a single target ranged weapon with no AoE and an all out AoE weapon. Although, it doesn't matter too much.

Thanks. I have a Yumi as well but it has one AoE on it. Maybe I should work on a replacement for that instead.

Re: Evaluate my weapon please
Yes. Ancient composite bow/warhammer from auction is probably your best bet and cheapest way to get a true endgame single target wep. Avoid the ancient yumi, it's pretty mediocre, always way overpriced, and not really full end-game. You can make better from looted 4/5x58 but that usually requires 2+ change hit X to Y deeds and they are amongst the rarest and most expensive item at auction, so the ancient weps end up being a relatively cheap and solid alternative. I use an ancient comp bow as my base for my bow and a 5x58 base for my AoE sword (2x X to Y applied) what it's worth.

What do these ancient weapons usually run for at auction? I believe you said you had a spreadsheet of previous auction prices, is that public ?Johnny Warren wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 10:44 pm Yes. Go to the auction room in TC and click on the stone. There's a button that says auction history. You can track all the prices on there.Drinyen wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 9:57 am

Keeping this going. I assume the weapon below is not as good as my main one. If so, any suggestions on a fair price to sell it?

If your weapon doesn't have 4x hit spells (Lightning, Fireball, Harm, Magic Arrow), it's worth Like 0 GOLD ;p server lacks new players to sustain a weapon market, and there are no incentives for veteran players to purchase weapons.
Re: Evaluate my weapon please
Funny,Cerrera. Would be a nice one.
Should have added 100 strength.

Re: Evaluate my weapon please
Whilst I know this comment is tongue in cheek... it isn't far off the mark. There was a time when second hand weps and quality weps sold well and that market was strong. It is as dead as a door nail now. If it isn't a 4/5x58 or an ancient wep, nobody is interested as there are no mid tier players around any more. The price of weapons has dropped so far that noobs don't know how easy they have it nowadays. No vet is interested in buying a weapon and as more and more are looted, they just pile up.HotMale wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 1:06 am If your weapon doesn't have 4x hit spells (Lightning, Fireball, Harm, Magic Arrow), it's worth Like 0 GOLD ;p server lacks new players to sustain a weapon market, and there are no incentives for veteran players to purchase weapons.
Re: Evaluate my weapon please
I think people put too much stock in how strong a weapon is. Or in this case, how many damage hit spells it has on it. Rather than being happy with what they have.
I use this weapon, that I have been making for myself. I plan on adding a bless deed, renaming it, and making it one handed to finish it up. I can make 3.5 million gold with it in a single day. (Not much else to do but stay indoors, next to an air conditioner, and hunt in Arizona when it's Summer.)
It has only 2 damage hit spells, and I have no plans on ever replacing it.
I also downed the Black belt master with a Player Crafted Yumi, with 2 damage hit spells. (Might have been able to do it with 1 hit spell.)
It's the player that matters. The weapon is just a formality after a certain point.
