Haven Lockpicking

Helllo! Any idea when the Haven lockpicking boxes will be available again or is there an alternate location I can use to raise my lockpicking skill?

ummmmm ill take a wild guess and say NEVER

The changes made to lockpicking also enable a much faster skill gain

up to 30.0 you gain 0.2 skill per success
up to 60.0 you gain 0.1 + 0.1(based on fail chance) per success
up to 90.0 you gain 0.1 per success

as for the Haven lockpick boxes, we are still considering what to do about that.

but now there is no central place to train like the traininig room so new players are on their own to figure out how to do it

I started a 2nd char with 50 tinkering skill, created a box to start training with that took me from 30ish-65 lockpick skill.
My 1st char had 91 tinker & created a box that took me from 65 to 95.
Used a macro in UOSteam to train & went through about 1200 lockpicks that took me to 95.

With the recent changes to treasure chests and chests within dungeons. I imagine that putting time and effort into opening chests throughout the various dungeons as you are adventuring might give some good lockpicking skill gains as well.

Just a thought and possibly another avenue to try and gain skill!

I decided to start raising my lockpicking today. I created some lockpicks and a locked box (copper). I purchased the skill up to 29.2. When I attempt to unlock my box, it says "You cannot possibly pick this lock with your current skill and supplies."

Is there a way to make a lower lock? like an iron lock?

Are you using copper picks or higher on the copper lock? That could be your issue.
