I have completed the Mistvale quests...what's now? What do I do now?

There are a lot of options. But at this point the most effective way is to get 220 dex with gear, then buy +dex stat scrolls and build up hp. This means some gold farming awaits you because stat scrolls cost 5*50ed and some pieces of dex gear cost quite a lot too. I personally have farmed these millions in gauntlet with simple pets and by selling imps from lady mel. Another option would be to buy imps or bio first. You can also do GoC quest, but rewards are mostly useful if you have 220 dex already.

Dont I also need to get the +50 stat ball too? That is 500 ED. It took me an intense week of constant gold farming to get the gold needed to buy 50 ED. I can't spend that kinda of time farming like that. I will go mad.

You don't need +50 stat scroll. +25 stat scroll from players for 2-2.5 mil is more than enough for start. And you also can drop int to 25 and live without +max stat scroll afaik. Also you can build 220 dex without stat scrolls, just hp will be bit lower. And as your dex will be increasing things will be getting much easier.

Quite a lot of gold loads there, and a chance for an artifact(no luck doesn't affect the chance in gauntlet). Valuable arties are BC(3mil), Jackal's Collar(1.5mil) and SOT(2mil). If you have pets like mules, then you can do it solo.

I'm not sure what stats you have with mistvale stuff, but the goc quest may be a bit difficult as from memory, some of it is doable with mules/nobles, but there are parts of it where that isn't the case, unless you don't mind them getting totally mutilated and probably suffering stat loss.

I would recommend checking out the citadel - travesty and the first Goc dungeon blighted grove. Travesty can drop imps (as does lady mel) and they are an essential part of doing the GoC quest line. Also, it's nice to have a bit of variety rather than just farming gold for 220 dex stuff, which should be a long term goal

I personally worked on getting 4 imps after Mistvale. There are currently WAY more for sale than the market needs, so you should be able to pick up 4 for under 300k each. Don't worry that some people try to push them for millions each, that might be a fair price in times when they're scarce, but currently there are enough for sale to supply the entire server 3 times over.

On the topic of imps, don't worry about their strength either. Again some people (I think the wiki too) will claim that high stregth is of great import, but testing has shown, that the overall PACK dps is more important than the indiviual strength and I can assure you that 4 imps with under 300 strength still kick serious butt once their dex and stam are done.

If I were you, I'd get them one at a time and oint them to max AR and max dex, about 250 (eventually 300ish) stam and start from there with your mules tanking. Once your imps start tanking, you need to raise the hp to at least 400 or you'll lose them fast. Then as you grind more money in Gauntlet, you can shop for another imp or two and oint them up. They honestly take very little damage in there, so you can go with 4 imps at 400hp each and do solo runs in 15 minutes, those give 25k gold (which you drop in the pack of the mule you're riding) as well as drops which, as has been said, may be worth a few mill each (although most are useless). Still, you only need 1 Bonecrusher drop to finance going from 1 to 4 imps with 400hp (you will want to max out their hp eventually)...

Ok, time to stop rambling about imps lol...But it's a worthwhile investment and any money you put into them is money that you won't lose. Every other pet loses stats when killed and needs to be replaced now and then, imps just get better till you max them out and a pack of 4-5 will allow you do the entire GoC line eventually ('cept that Paraploxys or whatever his name is, bring a friend on that one)...

I hadn't realised that the price of imps had dropped so much. I'd go with what Tattersail said! A pack of imps have serious DPS.

With regards to Paroxy and GoC, I have soloed him twice with 5 imps under 500hp. Not saying it's easy, but it is doable solo

Both bio and imps are good options. Sadly bio is not as useful as imps after you get 220dex and some hp, but it is yet another type of gameplay possible here. Overall same things can be done with bio and imps, but imps allow to run gauntlet faster and to do paroxysmus for GoC. Bio requires less micromanagement/healing than 5 imps(more enjoyable gameplay as for me) and can tank Netopir/Grizzle if you don't have dex.
Small hint for using bio: most mobs in gauntlet are demon types, so if you give demon slayer weapon to your bio and perhaps use demon slayer yumi, it will go decently fast.
