T-Map Prices
Just my opinion, but selling clever t-maps for 6k or 9k or such is just too much. i've done several of them now, and my average take, including the spawn, is 12 or 13k. asking for 1/2 or more of that is a little much, don't u think?

Re: T-Map Prices
Howdy,
I can't speak for tmaps, but the rules I use for pricing pets are roughly this:
a. If it sells immediately, price the next one higher
b. If it sells slowly, price the next one lower
c. If it fails to sell after weeks, drop the price
I find that approach tends to price things exactly where they belong without me having to make any judgements about what something should or should not be worth.

Re: T-Map Prices
If i may as i've done and bought countless t-maps on here. Price does not simply go up and down based on the gold you can earn from the chest itself but also whatever you can get trough the whole process of hunting and digging them out.
I've given a lot of information for the TMap Wiki : http://www.uoex.net/wiki/Treasure_Hunting
I'll take the Level 4 Tmap (Cleverly) as an example.
What can you get out of it is this : 6400-8850 gold, 12x reagent stack, 12x gems, 20x scrolls (gold may vary a bit tough still those are min-max i've got myself)
But you still have a chance to get a level 5 (Deviously) in there. Also the drops from the mobs... demon, loch lord, elder gazers have a chance of dropping a level 4 Tmap and a good amount of gold.
So if you pick up everything you can possibly get this Cleverly Tmap is probably worth close to 20k or so at it's peak. Asking for 6-8k is ok i guess.
Also keep in mind to sell the Treasure map Undeciphered as it help raising Cartography skill. I always bought deciphered maps at a lesser price. Even if i didn't need the skill gain (as i had guild mates raise on em before i get the loot)
Anyway, those are my tough. I hope it help in anyway it can. Feel free to ask anything about tamp and i'll gladly answer back.
Just for you. Here is my original post with updates (not added yet to the wiki)

Re: T-Map Prices
personally I price all maps at 1/2 the gold usually found in the chest plain 500 expert 1000 adept 1500 clever 3000 etc. IMHO this is a fair price and my maps move very fast in most cases
Re: T-Map Prices
i would gladly pay 1500 for clever t-maps. where is ur vendor, lilbear? also, balthazar my top earning on a clever map, including the hunting, was about 13.5k. so 6k-9k is asking for almost half of that or more
Re: T-Map Prices
This top 20k you could get is if and only if you get a higher level Tmap from the chest and or from the mobs killed while looting the chest. So if you pick up everything you can possibly get this Cleverly Tmap is probably worth close to 20k or so at it's peak.
Either way at some point you will only want to do level 5 (Deviously) to gather level 6 (Ingeniously) to get free Paragon's arties. I got a lot of Blaze of Death that way and they sell for a good price.
I do buy Deviously at 15k a piece if they are NOT deciphered and 13k if deciphered.
I have made a list of Monster that drop Tmaps by their specific level. If you want i can post it here once i get home from work.
Re: T-Map Prices
On level 6 maps. I don't know if I'm just having bad luck, but only got 1 blaze out of 150+ maps, but probably 15 dread pirate hats and wooden horses. Made me wonder if certain artifacts have a better chance at being in chests over the others, or just the randomness of loot. I'm still trying to sell all those pirate hats from my last treasure map binge
For level 5 map pricing: On top of the artifacts, level 6 maps, if you kill all the mobs, easily net over 50k gold (maybe even 75k), and most of the monsters have a chance at an additional lvl 5 map drop (maybe 1 every 3-4 map spawns). Level 4 maps also drop which can sell for 10k (they're great for raising lockpicking after you hit the 95 wall). That's close to 100k per lvl 6 map. I'd guess you get a lvl 6 map every 8-10 or so lvl 5 maps, so that's worth 10k extra value itself (100k/10), for every level 5 map. So, 10k there + 8-12k gold from lvl 5 map treasure loot (not including monster spawn gold or extra maps) + your luck with paragon artifacts and you are looking at 20k+ value in just gold for every lvl 5 map. Not that they should be priced that high IMO, because you still have to actually go out and do the treasure hunt (rather than just sell the map for pure profit). So lvl 5 maps generally go for 8-15k, which is about half their value.
Felucca maps also drop ointments as an added bonus. I had hoped you would get double xp for fel maps, but I believe its the same as tram. No bonus there. Level 6 felucca maps can also give level 7 maps (1 out of every 8-10) which give an extra 10-15K gold as treasure loot over a lvl 6 map: 27-36k overall (about the same on monster loot though), but no artifacts.
And on lvl 5 maps you can get +3 lockpicking/cartography gear. Lockpicking I can sell for 50k a piece, cartography is pretty worthless. Level 6 and above maps can give +5 gear which I've been able to sell lockpicking for 250k a piece, but there is a very low demand as the +3 gear is much easier to get.

Re: T-Map Prices
Blathazar, please do list the monsters and their maps here. I'd appreciate it.
Re: T-Map Prices
For level 5 maps, blood elementals, poison elementals, ancient wyrm, lord of abyss (and The Slayer), and I think Titan's (not 100% sure).
Level 4 maps I know daemons, lich lords, and eldor gazers I think off the top of my head.
And they only drop in tram/fel.
