Tokunu Artifacts

Post by Valhalla Taus »

Hello all =] happy superhero sunday =]

This time, im wondering about pricing on tokunu artifacts

i collect a quite a few of them, and just turned in 10 and got Tokunu Dyes, fire orange. it seems kinda lame for turning in all of those semi decent weapons.

So im wondering if anyone can shed some going prices for the artis, and if its worth it to turn them in for major artis, some pricing on them too perhaps.

Thanks all =]

From my short experience, there is not much going on for Tokuno arties. Sometime, some people are searching for Horselord. And I also see some new player leveling up darkened sky. Other than that, tokuno arties aren't worth much from what I could gather.

Swords of prosperity is a popular weapon to relayer. That is a major artie gotten by turn-ins.

Unfortunately when turning in arties there is about 55% chance to get dyes and 45% to get an artie. Which does seem a bit lame. But since the lower arties don't sell (or rarely, for a few k at most), trading in is still the best thing you can do with them. You can get 10-20k for Winds Edge or Darkened Sky, up to 50k for a Horselord and 150-200k for Swords of Prosperity. The rest sells cheap or not at all, though they are somewhat useful.

ah man yea it stinks, ive turned in 30 so far and gotten dyes every time! I did get Luna White last night, at least its somewhat cool lol. Im to young to use any special dye tubs at all yet so at least it gives me a little fresh look.

Im thinking I might go to Doom tonight! Only been there once, but want to do the guantlet, can you solo the gauntlet? as of my original UO days, i stoped playing right as age of shadows came out, so I never did it. All the free shards i have played since have been pre AOS, since thats what i knew, and hey, in my younger days, i enjoyed pillaging and plundering other peoples goods....but i have matured and dont have time for that, just want to make an awesome character, and im getting there! it might not seem like alot to most, but I was incredibly happy last night when I was solo'ing rune beetles faces off!

anyway, so..Doom, can I solo it? i have two good mules, all of my skills are at 100 and my stats are maxed out, decent gear...but thinking i might try to find someone kind enough to show me the ropes my first time, maybe my good buddy Jecks =]..insight?

Can it be solo'd? Sure. Can *you* solo it, with what you described - doubtful, though not impossible. With only 2 mules you're awfully low on DPS, to the point of probably not being able to kill Dark Father. Or at least doing it in such a long timeframe that it becomes unprofitable. Save up for a 4-pack of nobles (they work better here, since you have single targets) and a mule to carry the gold. Then you'll be fine. And most definitely don't go to the Gauntlet alone on your first run. Go with someone who's been there and can show you the ropes. And perhaps stand by to assist you as you go for a trial solo run. Oh, and train Detecting Hidden - you will need it. And another thing - always be polite to the people who you meet there. It pays off.

oh yes im always polite =] i love the people here, always very helpful, i just look forward to the day when i can actually return the favor. Jecks gave me a good mule for free, the other day i ventured into Bedlam, and got dead VERY fast, I simply asked in chat how to get out, and BOOM Dramoor and his buddy were there, wiped out the entire room, and rezzed me just as my corpse was decaying. This shard is great, love the people, having lots of fun!

So yes, ill try the noble thing then, i just hate having all of the pets out, i usually just have them stowed in my pack and call them if i need them, which i know i will for doom. just looking for something new to do is all =]

Use this: http://www.uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1785 and pull out each pet's healthbars. It will make handling 5 pets a lot easier.

ah yes that looks cool. I need to DL easyUO and try it out, im pretty much a razor master, but never have played with easyUO, aside from that though, i mean i just like the solo play style, i go in guns blazing, and have a pretty good routine, if it gets to hot then i pull out the pets. I seem to have a pretty fun necro/chivalry build, and actually rarely die, its my gear thats lacking, which is why i want to start playing in doom lol, get some good stuff! i just find it more fun to aquire the items rather than buying them ya know.

but thanks for all the help, you are awesome, we should hunt sometime! =] all this malas, tokunu, ilsheaner stuff is just totaally new to me, dont know my way around, so reading up on uoguide.com =O

Just an FYI, you can use the minor gray tokuno dye to revert enhanced items to their natural state. Example: I enhanced a war hammer with platinum which made it all white. Used the gray dye and brought it back to original state. I found that more valuable than any of the other arties.

oh....hmmm...being new, what does this mean exactly? lol. i mean i understand that it would turn the color to this one you died it as, but what does that do as far as being valuable? thank you for your feedbad =]

This is probably a very noob question, but what are you guys talking about... turning in Tokuno Artifacts? Where do you do this? is there a wiki / forum page you could direct me to?

I've got a bunch of arties just lying around i could convert to something better... possibly.

Thanks for the info!

from farming in any tokunu area, you get those minor artifacts placed directly in your bag, like the Exiler, Gloves of the Sun, etc.

Then, in the main Tokunu town Mokato Zento There's a building to the northwest, and there is a NPC in the top floor, the Finance Minister, you can hand him 10 minor tokunu artifacts, for a major tokunu artifact..
Check this out.. http://uoex.net/wiki/Artifacts the thing the guide doesnt tell you is that most of the time, you get special Dyes, instead of a weapon...
