Question: Does the Bio really vanish from the stable after 1 week? What are the countermeasures for people who go away for more than 1 week?

Do you mean he runs away after he has killed something using the kill command? If it is then that's normal behaviour. You'll have to use the follow/come command when he's done killing stuff.
