Where to get the highend leathers and scales?

I've searched the wiki and the forums but I have been unable to find the answer. Anyone who can point me in the right direction or post the info I would be greatly appreciative. I do know where to find demonic and shadow leathers but I have been unable to find any others. Also I can't find anything that drops the metallic scales or the white ones. Again any help greatly appreciated.

The high end leather comes from using a gargoyle knife on some critter that drops leather. The higher end leather the monster normally drops, the better leather you can possible get. The gargoyle knife, as opposed to the other gargoyle items, drop random leather and elementals. When skinning a dragon (or any other barbed dropping creature) you have a chance for leather from polar through ethereal. When skinning a drake (or other horned dropping creature) you can get barbed through shadow. I have never tried a garg knife on anything less than a drake, so I don't know how good of a leather drop you can get from upgrading spined or regular.

When skinning with a gargoyle knife, you will not get scales or meat. To get the higher end scales, you need to skin a leather elemental with a regular knife to get the leather and scales; 50 of each for the type of elemental you are skinning. An ethereal leather elemental will yield 50 ethy leather and 50 gold scales.

The other way to get colored leather is to do small Tailor BODs or large Taming BODs. The Tailor BODs yeild a very small amount of leather, while the Taming ones yield a fairly good amount at the higher end.

That being said, I do have the leather vendor in HomeDepot and I do take special orders for the colored leather, just PM Dannerick in the game.
