We had an absolutely magnificent time and I hope we make it back there someday. And as much as we tried to unplug for the entire vacation, being relaxed and rested all the time meant that we kept getting inspiration for our shard projects. I think several times we really confused other couples who overheard our dinner conversations regarding xml spawners and gear balance! We got a few looks that were like this:

One of the evening activities was a frog hunt. Everyone was armed with a flashlight and the guide led us all around the more lush parts of the grounds in search of tree frogs and other wildlife. These tree frogs made a noise similar to cicadas, which was fascinating to me. So tiny to make so much noise!
They decorated the resort first for Canada day and then again for the 4th of July, and had special entertainment activities and concerts.
Bonfire and chocolate fondue party, with an acoustic guitarist/singer performing. He did some hilariously excellent mashups including one of "Thinking Out Loud", "Let's Get It On", and "Boombastic".
