Are these gems available from any other source?

yeah, monsters(earth elementals, stone gargoyles and dragons). but a random surprise every now and then would be nice

also, it helps new players/miners make an occasional buck

(you can shovel it on my to-do list if you want ;P )

The only place I ever seen them reliably is dragons. I've got about 8-9 of each after all this time that I've played.

It's basically just a snippet of code, i guess one can find it on the runuo.com forums too... just paste it here and i'll put it in. The percentages will be small tho.

1-2% would be fine, anything more then 5% would kind of be nuts. I checked my gem pouch last night, I do have around 30 dark sapphires, and I'm not entirely sure where those come from, but that seems to be ok-ish. I literally do have 8-9 of all the others.

You can get white pearls from fishing too.

Figured that was kind of implied heh, I don't really consider them a gem.
