let's make a list for the mid-level players and what they can do shall we. i define a mid-level player as a player who has completed all his skills to 120 (combat), but lacks the high end gear for 220 dex/hps.

Doom: Great leveling place with quick respawn timers.

Doom Gauntlet: Doom when done solo is one of the best gold farming areas. pus, you have a chance for some really powerful artifacts like Spirit of the Totem, and the Jackal's Collar.

Labyrinth: Labyrinth is also another great place to farm gold. The minotaurs will sometimes drop up to 10k gold and the respawn is very quick. the Sharks there also drop around 2-3k gold, and will also from time to time drop a White Pearl. This is place gives out GoC parts. The minotaur captains will also drop about 4-5k gold. Everything in this dungeon respawns super quick so it is very easy to get a few million in gold in a few hours. Also, Slaarion will drop every time 20 elvin notes and is a very quick respawn. He will also, drop a GoC part and possibly a portal map. This portal map will allow if you have the elvin notes to spend a chance to "buy" an imprisoned pet, certain jewelry, and/or ethy mounts.

Bedlam: Bedlam is a great place to farm for elvin notes. Upstairs and in the Crypt. Those little dogs things could drop 1 elvin note or Skelator can drop up to 5 elvin notes. Monstrous Grizzle has been known to drop some high end weapons (4 x 58), and a GoC part.

Prism of Light: There are some places in Prism of light that is excellent to farm ointments. There is one room where there are Crystal daemons running around that respawn under a min. I've been known a long time ago to harvest up to 1k ointments from this place alone. There is also a grave yard on the island where this entrance is located. There is both a witch (who paragon's chest alone is rare), and a forgot what's is called monster that drops special bolts/arrows. like freeze arrows/bolts.

North of spirituality: forgot what this place is called but it's great for paragons and high end weapons (4 x 46/ 5 x 46). Warning: this is for mid-to high level players.

Sanctuary: This is another excellent place to harvest ointments. with an AoE weapon you can take down everything extremely fast, and the respawn is low to mid timing. One of the end bosses in this area also may drop Bat Wings, a 1.5-2 million item. You can also farm near the rat men for arrows. I've been known to get around 1k arrows from this place.

Savage Camp: Great place to level a weapon and north of that is Blackthorn's Castle another great place to level a weapon. also, both places have paragons.

Tram destard: now that it has been redone is an excellent place to harvest leathers and raise elementals for runic tools. Also, it's a lot of fun. You could also argue the fact you could collect animal taming bod items to sell. Nobles have been seen to be wild here (gen 1 level 1)

Tram shame: Great place to farm special gems. like blue diamonds and perfect emeralds. Blue diamonds are used with the power scroll bag to create better power scrolls. Nobles have been seen to be wild here (gen 1 level 1)

Fel Destard: Great place to harvest Paragon Arties. I've been known to harvest at least 20 blaze of deaths and at least 10 gloves of the pug from this place. Also, drops ointments, and there is a Champ spawn near by. This place is also Great for harvesting leathers and raising leather elementals.

Fel shame: same as tram shame BUT the abomination has been known to lurk in this dungeon more than any other dungeon.

Balrons: There are 4-5 balrons in Terran keep alone, and 2 in hyloth. they drop between 3-5k

Blood dungeons: there are 3 balrons in this place, and you have a chance for paragon balrons.

Exodus dungeon: This is another excellent place for both harvesting gargoyle tools, finding organics, and leveling weapons.

Champ Spawns: good for getting gold and Power Scrolls.

necrophilic dude: forgot what his name is located west of umbris, but he's great for leveling weapons and getting a vampiric cloak (rare item).

Stone gods: Great for leveling weapons respawn is like 5 secs. careful of the dread mares that roam here.

Dread Mares: Dread mares are like icy wyrms, as one blast does like 3k damage, but if you CTD (cycle the dead with imps), you'll be find. He drops a very rare instrument.

Black Liche: tough guy like dark father in Doom Guanlet, and you have the chance for a doom artifact. he's located south of umbris in the woods.

Vampires: located south of umbris, and has the chance for a paragon artie, plus decent gold.

How long has it been since you were a mid-level player Anarchy? Were you able to solo two Vroak Guards without insta-heal and knock down the Grizz? And how many hit points do you consider a mid-level player having before tackling a Minotaur, let alone a pair of them plus whatever else goes after you at the same time? All I can envision is carnage.

Other than my concerns listed there, I think this list is a great snapshot of what is out there for the folks. Thanks for taking the time to put it together.

The two Vroak Guards can be dispatched with a bio (tanking em) while you use a bow in the background. Vroak guards are the equivalent of a balron in disguise. I was able to fight two vroak guards at a time, but if the red mule joins the fun then you have to be very careful. Grizzle is the same same... put your bio mano-a-mano with him while you heal it and shoot away.

Disclosure: I did this while I only had a goc chest, less than 200 dex (so no instant heal), and 0 relayers.

The Minotaur... yes! He can one hit kill you cause it shoots 300+ damage at a time, at this moment with relayers and everything I get kill by it when he does his double whack move in less than 2 secs. This area with twisted weald is more like above mid to high end level players. Also you can out run most stuff in Laby... if you are collecting the items for the goc quest I suggest you be very careful cause 1) not good idea to use AoE weps in this area 2) your pets including bios will die pretty often. Most mobs in here drops lots of gold, specially the minotaur but there's a 50/50 chance it might drop no gold. So far my record is 7 minotaurs and the guys are broke. Good luck!

I'm not saying it can't be done, but lets not give some players a false impression that there are places they can just jump in without some knowledge of what is needed and what tactics may be used. I've seen the slaughter of many a mid-level player and their pets right at the entrance of the Labryinth. For those who haven't done Bedlam before, they need to know they will be greeted by 2 door guards with lousy dispositions checking ID's right away. How many calls for "How do I get out of Bedlam?" have we heard over the years? And lets not forget, I have also seen many a pet stacked up right where you enter the hydras lair. I also know a mid-level player will not make it very far in to the Vampire area, pets or not, being accosted by 2 Black Liches, an Onyx Dragon, a couple of Shadow Wyrms and a few Vampires all at one time. Identifying great places to hunt and the possible riches to be had is a noble and grand thing, but we should also add a word of caution to a few of these places. Just looking out for the folks who might not have had the pleasure to visit these places yet.

sorry thought most mid-level players were smart enough to stealth and check out a dungeon before just running in headwise. i did labyrinth with a bio no re-layers and 2 nobles (most of the time i just stealthed to the areas i need to be). i did proxy with a bio and nobles. i did icy wyrms the first few times with nobles (5 of them), but luckily enough i was smart enough to start breeding nobles so i had plenty no matter how much damage they took. bedlam i did with a bio stealthing to the door way and spamming like mad the password (the crypt at the time was you could die and use the bank in the crypt/ after that was fixed i stealthed to the north west corner so nothing nasty could agro me then i targeted the crypt key guy with a bio). then i used the bio to kill everything else without re layers.

with a little tactics you can beat almost everything in the game.

no problem i'm just trying to give people who don't know much things to do. and twisted weld.... tip: stealth to the guile but keep going to the eastern wall. that way the only thing that can agro you is sisth (whatever that spider's name is) and the guile. use a bio for tanking. guile can drop up to a 4 x 46 and the spider can sometimes drop a 5 x 46 weapon.

I'm going to post this not to be arguementative but in hopes of bringing understanding of what mid level players currently feel like is limited options with regards to hunting. I won't comment on the tradeskill aspect of the game since I don't enjoy doing them and avoid it (I currently have 120 Alchemy and Tinkering the rest of my tradeskills are in various levels).

I think you need to redefine your current defininition of what a mid level player is...To me yours is more of a late newbie stage rather than a mid level...They still have things to work on but are capable of doing them in a resonable time frame...They logg out and feel like they made progress on thier charecter or got something accomplished...

All of this changes when you get to 220 dex/get Imps(ointed to a resonable level)/get a Bio and possibly a druid book - although having a druid book is not nessicary to do anything on your list...But the most important qualification is not having any relayers; they are a huge impact to the power level of your charecter...To anyone wondering this is my current gear level;220 dex, 5 imps at resonable health level, a bio when I need a tank, and a druid book...To me this is the true definintion of a mid level player...Suddenly most of the items on your list get increadibly easier...GOC quest is at this stage not even remotly a challange (I currently have 4 compleate sets of quest items that I'm waiting to turn in)...It's a pretty significant jump in power when you have all these items and much of the challange that was there before is now gone...


Doom - Easy once you've got 220 dex...don't need imps or bio

Doom Gauntlet - Easy once you've got 5 pets (doesn't even need to be imps or a bio)

Laby - Easy with a Bio although slow (since you can't do the same amount of damage or your distracted while healing Bio)

Bedlam - Easy with a Bio although slow spawn rate in the crypt and upstairs

Prism of light - Most of this is easy with Imps - two rooms (crystal giants and the hyrdra) pose any real challange

Twisted Weald - Can be challanging due to the respawn rate and how hard things hit but only in the swamp area, easy otherwise

Santuary - Easy with a Bio, only 2 pose any real threat (nep and the dragon)

Savage Camp, Tram Destard, Tram Shame - Ummm...do you Really consider these mid level? maybe newbie or young but mid level?

Fel Destard - one of the few area's I agree that should be considered mid level

Fel Shame - never been so I won't comment

Balrons - heavily camped by all types of players (newbie,midlevel, and vets), suffers the same problem as doom in that everyone wants in on the action

Blood Dongeon - again heavily camped by all types of players; not that it stops me from doing them when I want to hunt them

Exodus Dongeon - I went twice...was bored out of my mind and posed no challance at All

Champ Spawns - I'd classify these as all type of player content...Everyone enjoys it...It's the same as Balrons, Doom, Doom gauntlets, and Blood Dongeon

The rest - I agree that it's midlevel content

Many of the places you have listed I let my Bio/Imps kill things while I run around and loot...I don't even fire an arrow or hit them or anything...What do mid level people do when we've gotten beyond your list but can't quite do Sgail, Fel Wrong, and Umbris?

Please note that I highly respect all of the vets opinions but as someone that currently lives in mid level content (and has for the last 6 months and most likley will contunue to do so) I don't share your viewpoint that there is oodles and oodles of things to hunt.

btw i play with a midlevel character all the time. you may have seen the gear... (0 relayers, 0-3 GoCs).

my viewpoints on oodles and oodles? o.O what are you talking about? all i did was make a list; taking up my time giving suggestions to mid level players. seeing that tram destard is so easy for you why not let me summon some elementals and see how mid level they can be

notice i said harvest leathers and raise elementals. nothing about conquering the dungeon and killing the dragons; taming yes. killing no. also note i talk about nobles being seen in this dungeon.

Grizz can be killed very easy, I've done it with out one healing spell or bandaid in a set of fresh bought plate a a 35k bow i bought off a vender. a little mana leach and life leach and ANYONE can kite him...griz is the easiest peerless boss in the game to kill.

First off I'm not assuming anything...Anarchy made a list of places he consider mid level...I went down the list and listed the reasons why I disagree with some of the places on that list...That's all that has happened...Nothing more...There is no personal attack type of nonsence going on...There is no animosity between us (at least that I know of)...There is no misunderstanding or assuming anything...He made a list that I don't agree with...Since he feels like I "jumped down his throat" I will no longer comment but I stand by what I said.

Grizzle can be trapped using dead pets just a tip
