Hi folks....trying my hand at house building....Here's some questions i find
i need help with.....Once i commit to see if doors work and such ...can i
return to the customizing and continue where i left off. By the same token
Once i have finished the first floor...can i commit and use the house until
i have enough funds to work on second floor....and so on. I hope it's possible to return from time to time to improve or make small changes in the design such as adding a door or changing windows...?'

Also i used some grass looking tiles in the front.....can i use that just
like real grass..ie grow things there?

How do i get a trash barrel? and lastely how do we do rugs effects?

you can be customizing the house and when you have done everything as you wanted, you commit it. The commitment itself costs 12k. You need to funds in your bank for it to work.
And yes, you can first build your first floor, commit, and wait for example a month, or any time until you get more money.
Even if you dont have money, you can build yourself a 700k "imaginary" underconstruction house, you just wont be able to commit it if you dont have the money in your bank.

The grass is just decorative, like any other tile. a hint here, you can use different grass tiles on a lawn to make it look more natural - so you cannot see the pattern of the digital image

You can grow plants too, those can be locked down or secured anywhere in your house - no matter what floor you put it on.
You can either grow your own plants, which takes some dedication and knowledge. you need to water them daily, cure them, get rid of termites that attack it, etc...
Or, you can also buy decorative plants. visit your local excelsior halls

Rugs - those are made with tailoring and come in a form of a deed.

trash barrel - while in your house, say "i wish to place a trash barrel". If you want to remove it, chop it down with an axe (just like any deeded item you put in your house).

Hi Colibri.....i have one more quick question..i've seen stained glass windows in at least one house??...I did not find those in the menu..maybe
i'm not looking in the right place....? Oh and btw Daddy-O....left behind
a dressor-like piece of furniture with inexpensive newbie stuff that has
no value....to me at least.Should I trash via trash bag or should i pass
them on to you...since they would have been only usable by Daddy-0.

You can get windows by clicking a round button somewhere in the customizer menu. When picking walls, it should be right above the window that displays different types.

As for Daddy's stuff, you can either keep them as deco or trash them. Or you can keep it for daddy in case he gets back.
