Our town is flooded

Luckily, where we live is OK because our house is on higher ground than most. We only had a bit of water in the basement, which a pump takes away. But others weren't so lucky. I couldn't believe the amount of water damage I saw today. It's just unreal.
There are three fresh water rivers in the Quebec peninsula, plus the St Lawrence River bay, which is quite large. Where the rivers flow from is high elevation in ancient mountains down to the coast, where we are located. All three rivers are flooded, and bridges are weakening. And it's still raining!
So there were a couple hundred people that had to be evacuated from their homes as water entered, only a short time before Christmas. All the families who have now lost Christmas altogether... it's sad.

So say a little prayer for these people, if you can.
Thanks.
I did not take these pics. Someone I know locally photographed many locations and I nabbed a couple from her facebook album to share.
