last night i was macroing music in britain near the healers house and when i woke up this morning i was dead and my lama to how is this possible when i am on a no pvp shard and in guards :s

btw i am new to this shard so is it legal for macroing skills??

Im thinking someone is releasing pets that will kill you.

This is the second time I have heard about this happening... The staff will not stand for this, and will ban the offenders

ow yeah that is also an option releasing pets ow well i hope the guy is happy with my music instrument :p

Talk about going in guns blazing Yeah staff would more than likely look into it but can't see anyone getting banned over it, Oh well.

Learn Hiding.

Every time you go AFK, no matter for how long, put your character into Hiding mode.

When I started on the shard and didn't have a house, I macroed in out-of-the-way places, especially with skills that made noise. For example, Nujel'm or any of several low-traffic cities, but away from the bank. I think it's a good policy. But yeah, train hiding first.

Well, some things you can, though hiding has been nerfed over the years, and quite a few skills reveal you now. For the stuff you can't do while hidden, go to a room at an inn or somewhere remote in a guard zone where you won't be bothered. Most people get a house within a couple weeks, and that's usually where you train AFK.

As for getting killed in Brit, that was kind of a fluke, I think, but best to avoid busy areas if you're making a racket.

Yea I agree, it is speculation as of now but that does seem like a likely culprit. I would have to agree with Tael which is what I did as well. You pick a very secluded and private spot and have at it. Empty towns, friends house, etc. Be cautious where you choose to go unattended. For example the docks used to be a good place until sea monsters came through and killed the townsfolk. Being in a guard zone doesnt make you invincible, it only makes you less likely to die. Whether you are new or old to the server that is mucho unfortunate, sorry to hear that, but glad you only lost an instrument.

It probably was an aggressive animal that did the deed, but pets do go wild by accident as well. It's not certain that this was intentional. Hard to say.

all kinds of people enjoy griefing others

yeah i guess an aggressive pet (nightmares/dragons) can go wild if not fed. ah well.
