I downloaded the client from this site and everytime I put in my user and password I get a message saying "Couldn't connect to Ultima Online. Please try again in a few moments." I do have vista and have tryed running it in administrator, and turned off my firewall and antivirus, have tryed checking the login.cfg. I also am running my internet via router and have tryed to use a portforward, and i have uninstalled and reinstalled UO. Nothing has worked...is anyone else have this problem or maybe have any suggestions on fixing it?

Ok let's first try this:

Go to Start->Run, type in "cmd" and press OK.
In the DOS prompt window, type:
ping shard.uoex.net

If it says it timed out, or host cannot be reached, then there's some ISP trouble to be fixed.

You can also try opening your login.cfg, and try logging first with port 60, then with port 2593.

Ask your ISP if they are blocking any non-standard ports on their end (some ISPs offer "security" right on their side, all this security is that they block most of your ports, except for the most common ones).

ok i tryed the command promp like you said and it shows its working fine, and I changed the port still no luck Also I can get on UO from my friends computer that is on the same network as my computer so I dont think its my isp.

Do you have the client version 5.0.x ?

Did you ever get Norton up while trying to connect? I'm still convinced that its blocking access but since it isn't running the prompt won't show up.

no, and it wont let me uninstall it either
