Can you relayer a SoT into a weapon, use 10 level deeds on it, and relayer it into another item? Or would that not work?

I would say no, I think that even if you relayer it into a weapon slot it is still a SoT, not a weapon, and 10 level deeds can only be used on weapons.

No. If that was possible then every power player would be covered in leveled SoTs :P

Not necessarily. The cost to do this would be 200 ED for the SoT, 1,000 ED for 2 relayer deeds, and 1,000 ED for 10 level deeds. So a total of 2,200 ED for 1 item (about 110-120 million gold).

Has anyone actually tried it? Have any of the GMs confirmed or denied this?

You can't make a non-weapon into a weapon at all. Only weapons can be leveled, and they can be changed into armor, but armor/clothing can't be changed into a weapon :)

120 mil for 1 complete, relayered lvl 100 item with 20 STR. AFAIK people pay more for fresh Titan's Hammer (15 STR) that still needs to be type changed, leveled and relayered. Fresh Ancient Titan's (20 STR) go for over 300 mil at auctions.

A relayered item is still the original item, but with the appearance and slot of the sample. This is why relayers do not take damage in armor slots. They are a weapon, not an actual piece of armor.

So no, it will not work.

a guild mate of mine tried this, the first and most important issue was that after the SoT became a weapon the "Levelable Weapon Deed" did not work on the weapon so he couldn't even attempt to apply the +10 level deeds.

This is because, as I said, it is still an SoT. It is only the slot and appearance that changes, not the item as a whole.

As another example. You could relayer a weapon to another slot. Then apply a level deed, then apply +10 deeds to it. Obviously not cost effective, but would work. The weapon remains a weapon even though the appearance and slot have changed. Since it is still a weapon, the deeds work.
