I have 120 Disarm trap and have done well over a 100 level 5 and up maps yet I have never been able to disarm a lev and up chest.
Is there a problem with disarm trap or is it suppose to work like this.
Is this the way it's suppose to be ?
If so then I advise against anyone wasting the money to buy the power scroll or the time involved in getting it raised

Same here. I have never disarmed a lvl 5 treasure map chest with 120 disarming & have done probably hundreds by now.
Heck I still often fail on lvl 4's about half the time. Certainly wouldn't rush out and get the 120 powerscroll again.
Just use Telekinesis & buy lots of cappuccino's with the gold saved.

It was definitely mentioned that remove trap might be the only way to disarm traps from new content not yet released. You will definitely have the upper hand then! I'm sure they will make sure it works properly on that content when released and maybe fix it up for the other chests too.

You would be correct, but this is not something that will happen any time soon and is just a few ideas at the moment, so there is no rush. Also Telekinesis might still have a use.

Then I think it's fair enough that people responded to that point, by making the point that there is, perhaps, some value in raising the skill beyond simply treasure chests. You got to have your say, they got to have theirs. That's just how conversation works.

So you have an active power scroll on this server that has no use at all...used to work but now does not....and its not important at all to fix? Why not remove the scroll if it does not do anything? especially since most players pay a lot of gold for that scroll. Just don't get it at all.

Because half of them have no idea it doesn't work (as proven by this post) and it is only obtainable thru the power scroll bag. I dunno how that is a better question than why is an item that doesn't work at all in the game.

I'm sure I read that all the powerscrolls that are currently only available to 120 through the PSbag don't add any extra gain or success to the skill beyond 100 currently, which is why they don't drop from champs.

The scroll functions just fine, it raises your max allowed skill to 120, that's the function of the scroll.
As for it being active, not really, you can only get it from powerscroll bags, which is not the normal way of obtaining any scroll. Also as far as i can tell no one has touched trap disarming , it's just that bad and TK is always better(hence why we want to see it reworked in the future)

P.S. usually when a skills works *cough*tracking*cough* to 120 we add the powerscrolls to the champs because relying on the power of the powerscroll bag isn't fun for anyone

lt;dr: scroll works as intended, the skill is lame and needs a facelift

the gains over 100 thing has nothing to do with the skillscroll itself

hiding, remove trap, poisoning
100% success at gm = no gains

now thats not to say it will stay in this condition much longer

already 120 Yoda not looking for gains
actually wanting to know from a GM if skill is broken or bugged is all
