It seems that the author has finally taken down his site and I can't seem to find it anywhere, anyone knows of a mirror site that's hosting it?

thankies!

Had the same problem yesterday. I was able to get a non-installer, zipped copy from here:

ftp://ftp.theabyss.ru/uo/uomap.zip

Try that.

So I've downloaded and installed this. Now it wants to connect to a server to follow me. Keeps asking for an IP. Any hints, tips, tricks I should know?

Thanks in advance.

UOAM has a feature that allows a host to set up a server that people can connect to. The people connected to the server can see everyone else on the automap and can chat. Was very handy back in the day for spawns/dungeon crawling. You don't have to use that by any means, but it is a neat tool for guilds. :) Just have to have someone host it. Could even do a shardwide automap server, and everyone can know where everyone is, haha.

We have a dedicated UOAM server available for players of Excelsior. UOAM can be downloaded from http://www.uoam.com. UOAM requires Razor to display your location.

Start UOAutoMap, press Ctrl+K (or go to the top menu -> Link -> Controls) .
Fill in the information:
Name: Your character name on the shard
IP: shard.uoex.net Port: 2000
Don't forget that this feature allows other players in the channel to see your location.
This is from the guides section of the site ...
