Playerbase Shard contributions. And hello!

First off I should probably introduce myself, being new to the shard. This shall also be my excuse for any lack of knowledge about the shard, and anything pertaining to the main body of this post.
Player contributions: Building/Deco
It is very simple and easy to start building in UO with UO Architect. It is a third party program that works almost exactly like the house builder most players have played with at some point, and needs little explanation. You can create just about any building, dungeon, structure and even some landscapes with this tool.
With UOAR players can create new content, export the things they create and post them on the forums for admin review (similar to how this forum works). If the creation meets the quality and any other criteria needed and is accepted, it can be downloaded (and perhaps a bit spruced up) by a GM and installed on the server.
To review:
1) Player creates a house.
2) Player Exports the UOAR file for the house.
3) Player posts a screen shot, statistics (how many items, dimensions etc) and the file on the forum.
4) GM/Admin review the submission, and accept/deny.
5) GM/Admin clean up (if needed) the house, to prepare it for installation.
6) GM/Admin install the house in an appropriate location with UOAR.
This opens a whole new world for shard development, and allows for larger aspirations in shard content that were normally held back by the sheer amount of work some ideas, however good, represented. Competitions can be held on who can make the best bank, player lounge or any other thing that might be needed/wanted for the shard. Not only does this create new places for players to explore (and indeed, take pride in) but in the creation of the content itself, the player is enjoying one of the experiences offered by UOEX.
One such possibility that comes to mind is a custom city, that is developed completely by the player base.

This concept can also be applied to scripting and many other things for the shard.
