I sure hope not, they usually give a couple hours notice if it is.

Was anyone on when it went down? Any messages, notices of shutdown/time return? Or just it went kaput

uhh i was fishing and my pets were out {dont ask) but am i going to lose them not to mention i know i wasnt afk XD so like what happened?

No, Subix, would take a day or so to lose pets and I'm sure while the server is down decay etc. won't take affect.

Edit: In an event like this, the most recent World Save will be loaded. Pets which were out will be automatically shrunk and put in your packs, and I think any items on your potential corpse are returned to you.
