It's the End of the world as we know it....... and I feel fine.

Hey, looks like the server lost power or for some reason just restarted, I'll check with the datacenter to see if it was on a larger scale, or if there's something faulty with the hardware. About a year ago, or was it 2 years, this server had repeated restarts, until we found that it's a faulty powersupply - it was changed then. But I hope it's just a random thing that happens every year or two and doesn't need a fix.

I'm just installing some updates, going to bring the server back up asap.

Server is now online.

Looks like there was a faulty motherboard, the technicians have already fixed it.

An issue has been detected with the motherboard.
We have replaced the motherboard, updated the firmware and updated the MAC addresses in our system.
The server is booted on disk and is on the login screen. Ping OK and services are up.

The server crashed again, so looks like this wasn't a random issue, or a motherboard issue. Last time this was happening, it was a faulty power supply, I'll let the technicians know. I don't know how long it will take before this is fixed, so we could be in for an unstable few days. I'm setting the server saves interval to 15 minutes so that when we go down again, there won't be much of a revert. If this can't be fixed in a few days, I'll temporarily relocate the server elsewhere for a while.

Just an official word on the downtime back in August 13th. The second crash that day was probably because of Windows Update... After we got online from the first crash, I started windows update, and it probably auto-restarted a few hours after that. Which is weird that a server edition also does that, but I've seen it before... (not completely by itself, but if you start the windows update, it restarts itself after a few hours). Server has been stable for 2 weeks now, so we can safely say we're back regular stability.

Yep we had a server restart, was planned to be a bit longer, but turned out to be even longer. Online now, there will probably be another restart later today.
