Yes, it was funky and it has happened a few days back too, judging by a big number of logoffs. Just some portal incompatibility with the new timezone - the shard now runs on UTC (GMT+0, no daylightsavings) but the portal code was still configured for daylight savings. Since both codes need to be in sync, and time is important with synchronization, this caused some errors which eventually manifested in one big lag spike.

Yes the server is currently offline, went offline about 40 minutes into the hour (past the save), i'm working on getting it back up... seems like this is a bad day for computing, the website had issues in the morning and facebook doesn't work for me.

On the bright side, last post in this thread was 4 months ago

Yes that is a bright side, we have had excellent service.

Ok we are back online, or will be any minute now (server loading). I have some updates pending but i have just started it up with the existing code, so i guess there will be another restart in a few days.

There was a total 1 hour and 10 minutes downtime, of that a 37 minute revert (wen't offline at 15:37 shard time, last save was 15:00).

All systems go (i see some connecting already).
