Cheers to the admins for their colossal patience and savoir-faire. It keeps surprising me how many times this exact situation plays out.

1)Some person claims to have been mistreated by the staff.

2) Instantly we all know who's lying, cause anyone that has been here for some time now knows very well that +R and +N (who manage most of the conflict situations) are extremely nice, polite and attentive persons, and that they would never behave like anything close to a bully or abuse their attributions.

3) The "offended" party then goes on trying to convince us how mean and over-reacting the staff is.

4) The staff, far from falling in the vicious circle of senseless argument, present the evidence for everyone to see (normally in the form of chat logs, like this case).

5) Case closed, but of course the complaining player will find some way to deliver a final stroke of self-pity and indignation, and choose one of two options: accept the overwhelming evidence they did something wrong, mature up and use the situation to get some personal growth, or they just leave the shard.

Anyhow, i'm not chipping in to disect the minds of unmature personas, im doing it to congratulate, recognize and encourage all of our admins for their great work at making of this shard the best UO experience available out there. Keep up the great work, with all of our sincere gratitude.

ps: when u get mad/argue/get in trouble with everyone, you should start meditating if it's not everyone else's, but ur own fault.

cheers!

Oh, I counted around 8 infractions in that post. Your chat ban should have been weeks/months long, rather than what you received.
Penalties:
First time: a warning
Second time: 2 hour chat ban
Third time: 1 day chat ban
If this rule is broken repeatedly, a chat ban penalty weeks or months long may be given or it can be categorized as heavy violation.

I did explain to you that you're not permitted to use the forums while you're jailed...So I guess that bit about not wanting to get in trouble/cause problems on the shard was just bunk.

I think you're taking things way too seriously :D

I can't figure out the jailing procedure. I got a message saying it was messed up?

jailing procedures is simple .... break the rules enough to irritate the gm's and they chat ban / jail u. not sure of the rules... read the codex pretty straight forward and simple.... still not sure...... have someone with some common sense read the codex and explain them to you :)

Aren't you still in jail and shouldn't be talking?

The admins on this game are amazing. They do not want to jail us! I truly believe that is the last thing they want to do. They could have jailed me a few times for stupid things I did without fully thinking, but they are super nice and try hard to go over the rules with you. They are not on power trips and they take their jobs seriously and act very mature in the face of immaturity as this post shows. They should all be commended.
