Could just make a declaration Color Reservation limit 1 per account.

Another option could be Guild Colors are NOT automatically reserved at all, you have to pay to have it reserved costs 20 ED per month or just 1 Mil Gold to help inflation

ignored for a year? I complained about it 5 years ago hah There are really nice hues that have been trapped by inactive players for a decade almost

Here is a simple question, is it illegal to start a guild with all your alternate characters, and reserve as many hues as you want on one account?

+1 on getting the guildhue-rental-system cleaned up so that hues expire. Would be good to also make some restriction on how big a guild has to be to get it.

@apocalypse: i think we've put in a restriction that you can't do that. ALthough you can have a guild with 1 player and reserve a hue, but i think you can do that only once, not with all your chars.

Btw, even if this were working correctly, the hue you want might still not be available.

Well that is good to know that 1 player cannot tie up 5+ hues.

I don't think any of us expect you to push this to the top of the priority list, but just want to bring attention to that it has been a issue for a long time now, and maybe it could make it on to the list of fixes sometime sooner than later?

I was wondering if a simpler solution is to remove ALL restrictions for hues. No guild hues, nothing.

I enjoy changing my colour scheme every now and then as many of us do. I've been watching guys like myself, Kairoz, Dark Phantom etc changing our hues and we cycle through the same 6 or so hues because the rest of them are just plain crap.

Rather than invent a system and code a whole bunch of stuff, just blanket return every single hue to public use and remove the ability for anyone to reserve any hue for any reason. Surely that ain't too much work and its a simple and neat fix.

This is a sore point for many players, old and new, nobody at all wants to maintain the old 'reservation' system. Just abolish it, give us all the colours and everyone wins! Reread the thread and everyone is in agreeance that the ability for anyone to reserve a hue just sucks.

The number of available hues that are any good is about 4 now. It's getting to the point where it's actually just plain depressing now...

Upvoting this idea! the way things are standing it is the best solution.

Last i counted (using [guilds) is there are at least 51 hues (some very cool looking) being used by a guild of 1, or by guilds with an activity of 0% or N/A. that's at my last count, and i stopped counting after a few pages. If a guild is dead the Hues should be released!

I know.. there are bigger fist to fry, but really it's sad that a guild of 1 opened in 2014 can have a cool looking hue and prevent others from using it.

Honestly, I think it would be nice to allow a guild to have the hue on their stone, but not prevent everyone else from using it. Would still give a benefit(cost saving in the long run) to add the hue to your stone, but wouldn't exclude everyone else from using it. Heck, you could even set it up to only allow one guild to "reserve" it on their stone.

Not sure how much coding that would require to change, but I don't believe it would be that much. I've been wrong in the past though...
