Thank heavens you didn't have a heart attack, embolism or stroke. I will pray for a speedy solution to the problem and that you will have the best doctors. You don't say what the defect is, I pray it isn't serious and does not require surgery to correct. I'm reminded of someone very close to us having a mild heart attack in their mid 20's. It was due to this happening that they discovered a defect, their heart is backwards. It totally shocked me that it took that long and through a medical emergency to discover it. Thank goodness everything is fine now. We hope the same for you Nyx, all the best. Like everyone is saying, this is just a game and your health is much more important. Thanks everyone for the well-wishes. Thankfully, it seems that my heart defect is currently minor and not causing any stress or damage to my heart. I'll have to get it checked out every year for the rest of my life, but it's a small price to pay for peace of mind on that front! The sucky part is that I'm still not feeling all that well, and my doctor was back to square one once the heart issue was ruled out as a cause for my symptoms. She has me trying a high dose of medication for the next 2 months to see how successful it is, and it has seemed to help somewhat. Of course, the stupid meds give me nasty side effects of their own, so it ends up being 6 of one and half a dozen of the other between my original symptoms and the medication's side effects.

But, I'm starting to get back into the swing of things with my everyday life, so hopefully I'll be back to staffing the shard before long.
