I do not recall any staff member asking for assistance from members of the shard in dealing with unruly players. I however do not mind when players stand behind their staff members, whether we impliment their views or not.

ok so i posted in another forum b/c well i really think theres got to be a way to keep the staff from being so overwhelmed.
Sooo, i propose a policy change, so when anyone is found exploiting or afk macroing or cheating or harassing staff and players that they should automatically get banned or jailed. I was on a shard once that had this policy and it was like, wow. It felt like we never had any trouble makers b/c when staff found out about them, that was it, no rumors no excuses just dealt with. not only that but everyone knew the consequence so like, everyone followed the rules. well except for the the few that thought they could get away with it. it just felt really protected. so anyway, you can vote if you want but really the only vote i care about is my own b/c i really believe in it. obviously staff will do it how they see fit but i still want them to know we have their back and we arent going to add to the problems.

love,

lol some peeps have good reason to go afk like children for example which obviously you dont know what thats like....

Zero tolerance is a bit harsh since most of the time things happen by accident. Now obviously there are some people out there who claim it is an accident when it isn't (not giving names), but it's pretty obvious which people do things on accident and which don't. For example, the other day (on the 9th I believe) I went to a concert, but forgot to close UO before I left, and I had been macroing music at the time. When I originally left the computer I had gone to TC to buy items, but never came back to the computer. When I got home much later I found myself in the inn in Moonglow. Luckily for me the admins realized I wasn't a repeat offender and that it was just an accident. Should I have been banned or jailed for that? Hell no. I think I would have quit and not made my donation on the 10th if that had been the case over something so trivial.

I think the way they do things now (discretionary punishment) is just fine. I hope you don't mind me stating my opinion, by the way, since it's only my third week as of today...

*head in hands*...why oh why am I going to say what I'm about to say?...

(Funny thing...I just wrote out 2 paragraphs on what I was going to say...and then deleted it. Why? Because every single point was already argued. Stances were clearly stated and mud was flung as well. Over...and...done. I can almost certainly say that whatever could be said now...has already been said.

There is nothing left of the dead horse to beat... :displeased:

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't read through the ... 9 pages of responses so I just wanted to put my opinion out there. I also didn't realize it was an old topic. But I also don't appreciate your tone, Undertaker.

In his defense, I think the tone (and mine as well) is residual from the anger and frustration experienced from this thread, and you wouldn't know that...this tooth n' nail argument went on before your time here. Not long before, but before...

It doesn't matter if you have been here one day or years...big deal...everyone is entitled to their own opinion without being ridiculed because of their points. Anger and sharing dislike for people is mean and given the way this shard is run there should not be any of this tolerated....
