Alright, who crashed the server.....

You know, I also heard that messing around with aquariums was a big no no...

Is the server still down or is my stupid internet not letting me log into UO?

Was anyone doing anything special with an invisibility shroud when it crashed?

This one, after a long while, was my fault for the bug...
Why do you guys always crash the shard when I'm away? Should be up again in a minute or two...

I was playing with an aquarerium fish net couple days ago couldn't get it outa my bag lol =(( didn't realise they buggy. then last night Laz deleted it.... hope that werwen't it.............

Very quick important note... there's been a change in the server-portal interaction and i need to get lunch now so until i get back, the portal settings and exex will not be in sync. You can still chat in the portal.

Umm i was at the Swamps with Irk, and Lissith and all that with my pets. I had over 130k on my Cu. Right after the world save the server went down. Will I lose everything? If I do can there be a revert so I dont lose my Cu and Noble and the money i have obtained?

Why would anyone ask for an intentional revert???

That would be like me saying "Well, since the server crashed anyway how bout reverting back to yesterday when I had a major blonde moment and bought the leggings to give me 100% lrc and forgot to insure them so I can do that!!! That way when I came into a dead char today after afk macroing all night all that would just be a bad dream!!!" Then again so would all the skill gains I made

Unfortunately, in UO, servers crash and you lose things it's all a part of it. It's the staff's job to find out what caused the crash and get the server stable again and sometimes that can be a very difficult thing to do!! They're busy enough without worrying about replacing things players can easily recoop on their own with a little patience and the want to play the game!!

I just got off of work.... got in game and was there long enough to barly get out an Ello. ...... I ... need... my.... u....o.......

Anyway, yea as i said we were lucky it was directly after a save (the towncriers announce right after the save). As for reverts, well we try to have as few of them as possible That's why the save files are backed up to 3 different locations, on a hourly, daily, and weekly basis. Worst case scenario that is still theoretically possible, we loose up to 24 hours. But so far we only had one major revert, i think it was around 18-24 hours. Let's nope we don't have to deal with those *knocks on wood*.

Please Don't Flame someone for asking a simple question. Not everyone is a vet that has played UO for years. They may not know how UO saves and are nervous about what they might lose. For someone that is new to lose a lot is a very hard thing and added hardship to come here and be brought down more doesn't help. just a simple " I doubt they would revert " would do just as good. If we make new people feel bad they wont stay here and play.
