OK, well that isn't nice. It really felt from where I was sitting that every item I wanted you spitefully went full tilt on. I only bid on the items I wanted. You made sure as heck that I had no chance to get them. Then you have the hide to come here and claim people bid you up. Seriously, take a look at yourself. Any item that John Warren bid on, you took through the roof and made sure I couldn't get. That's how it felt to me. To then claim someone bid you up, get a life mate. You played that auction like that on purpose. You could have stopped at any time and let other people win items man. Your greed wouldn't allow you to stop. You were the one bidding people up, being greedy and refusing to share the items. So do not come on here and pretend it was some other way!

I wasn't even going to complain this time about how broken and stupid that auction was. But since you have come on here pretending people gave you a hard time when you set out to deliberately ride rough shod over us is just too much. Stop being so greedy and you might not overpay for items at auction. Let other people win stuff. I truly can't believe you complained about this... I should be the one making a post saying, see how Lachian just trashed everyone at auction, it was awful. It wasn't the other way around. You also know that everybody saw it too, right? Any time I showed interest in an item you refused to give me a chance at it and went berserk. You did that. Nobody else. You did Lachian. Then you complain that someone else didn't treat you fairly. Just remember, everybody saw exactly what happened. Exactly what you did each time I tried to bid on something. Your stupidity and greed is why you got overpaid by 5x on many items. I just wanted one of those things I was bidding on and I would have been bust. If you let me get the panda at 210m I was done for rest of auction. You could have got every item without me bidding, but no, there was no way you were going to let John Warren win anything, so I kept trying.

As I said I wasn't even going to complain about how gross and disgusting you made that auction. What a joke this has become (it is exactly what I said sould happen back in Jan FYI). But since you have brought it up. Let's talk about the elephant in the room.

So, 1.596 billion gold (skipping notes and tokens) was spent at auction, on 19 items (taking out the notes/tokens items). Due to the one per account restriction an individual player could only bid on 12 items max here.

Read that again. One guy spent 1.1/1.596 billion gold and took 3/4 available items. Is that meant to be fun for anyone else?

This guy Lachian, who had previously made threat about buying out whole auctions, ends up spending 1.1billion and buying 8/12 available items. You buy 3 quarters of the available items (it's more if you factor in the token/notes items). You drive the base price of these items through the roof absolutely having no regard for anybody else. It wasn't just me you squashed. I watched you trash BB, Demascus, Sister Nicci. Then you somehow have the hide to complain and say that others ran you up!! Seriously, have a moment of self reflection. Do you think it is fun for anyone else who wants an item when you just say "No" and dominate the whole thing. This is what everyone was talking about saying your actions were going to be a bad thing, and all of those prophecies have come true. When players say you're making this place much worse this is exactly what they are talking about.

Look at all the past auction lists. The items are shared around. Everyone gets ONE, maybe TWO big items each auction then saves up again for the next one, maybe sitting out of a couple while they get a gold stack up. You've got a really juvenile "I want all the toys and I want all the toys right now!" attitude and that's the danger Lachian. It isn't the donating it's your disgusting attitude towards the rest of us that is the problem and why you are not a good thing for the shard in the long run.

I hope that somehow you are able to reflect on what went down and realise that you made that happen, and it was really unpleasant for everyone else. Not only did you not get a single good deal, but you made a heck of a lot more players dislike you. Might have been fun for others watching you waste gold but for anyone that wanted to participate in what used to be fun events, it was terrible. Deckard called it as soon as you did this in Feb, and you have stayed true to character. I am very concerned for the NEXt era of Excelsior if it going to be ruled by someone who cannot show any consideration for other people and will happily see ED prices driven into the ground and vets and new players trampled on as long as Lord Lachian gets what he wants. The very fact that you would come out here and threaten the whole shard to not bid against you is just plain disgusting mate. Players are allowed to participate in auctions. When you adopt a less selfish strategy you will find yourself winning items at better prices. I think with statement like the one you made at the top of the thread "I will buy everything, no fun for you" the charade is done now. Everyone can see you for who you truly are. Selfish and self-serving, with a deep lack of intellect and insight.

There have been I think 2 similar auction-related threads before, one got locked or maybe both.

BTW something interesting about pricing at auctions. The price of the item is not actually what the winner would be willing to pay for it, but only what the 2nd-highest-bidder bid on it, plus 10%. So if we were to have an auction, where one person has billions, while others only have a million each, the items would be selling for around a million.
This is not intended as any kind of in-between-the-lines commentary about any participant, just an interesting observation.

Btw, the raised concerns about auctions - I'm following, not sure exactly what I'll do, I have a few ideas in mind but there's higher priorities first... So, just want to say that it's not something I wouldn't care about.
