*Doom* Rusty key

I found a rusty key of a lich. with it i was able to open a chest (normal insta kill)
in it there where 3 (dif colour) boxes. but i wasn't able to open them.
how van i open them?

That is part part of the new Doom rares system. Figuring out how to open them is part of that system and only requires a little bit of thought and effort on your part to solve the puzzle
