Sgail
Sgail
So when is this part of the game coming back on? I know Dramoor had said something about some exploits/cheating that was going on in the process of doing the quest chain. But its starting to cut into my business lol..
Is there any clue to when this will be back up?

Re: Sgail
Can we make all the mobs claimable and dispel evil not work? That way it can be farmed since the "high end" places, Umbris and Wrong, can be done by people with no relayers solo. Kind of makes it pointless to spend 20k ED or more to get awesome gear except it gives us something to brag about. I mean if I had a nice job like Nelapsi where he can farm Balrons while at the keyboard all day and make BILLIONS I'd gladly do that instead.

Re: Sgail
I foresee that Umbris and fel Wrong will both be temporarily closed in the near future.

While I'm at it, why don't I just snap my fingers to cure cancer, end world hunger, and bring about world peace?Xavian wrote:Why close them and change them? Why not make other areas that are harder than Umbris and Wrong? This way there are low end dungeons, mid level dungeons and high end dungeons?

It's not as easy as you think. Since my patch never went in, +V and I are at a certain kind of stand-still regarding the ability to create 'new' areas and are thus very limited in what we can do. Not to mention the time issue. Building something from scratch takes 2-3 times as many hours as modifying something that exists already. As I've mentioned before, +V and I will have noticeably less time to spend staffing for the next little while. I'll be on to answer pages and whatnot, and probably monitor world chat when I can from my devices. But spending dozens upon dozens of hours creating entirely new areas is just not realistic right now, for either of us.
Furthermore, modifications to these areas is in keeping with their original purposes and thus the best route. They were never meant to be mid-level areas. They were meant to be "show off your relayers" areas. Now that it is clear they are not being utilized this way, we intend to resolve that issue.
Re: Sgail
I wasn't asking for a miracle, I was suggesting a different route is all. I guess it's more so that I see a greater and greater divide between the well geared and the not well geared with no middle ground. I don't see any stepping stones to go from one to the other. These would be good spots for that. When Sgail re-opens it will be a great place for people to show off relayers, as they can no longer use the bugs/glitches/exploits that are being fixed now. They want hard, they can have that. I just see this divide growing larger and larger. A "noob" gets his Aura Legging, the well known bugs/glitches/exploits that the "ubers" have been using throughout it's existance are reported so that no other "noobs" get their stuff. A "noob" spends countless hours of play time to get the insta-heal and the correct gear to get into and function well in a SMALL portion of an end-game dungeon, suddenly its not hard enough. There is no middle ground.
Perhaps an alternate suggestion.. Cap dex at 200 or 210 from bonuses. Eliminate insta-heal completely. When geared properly there is very little difference between a "noob" with no relayers and an "uber" with 19. That difference? HP. The only proper way to split the two is to either A make mobs hit for mass amounts to make a relayer necessary to have enough hits, or B to eliminate insta-heal from everyone and leave mobs as they are. Or possibly both.
Eliminating insta-heal also saves countless hours of changing mobs and redesiging areas. Areas will then be in line with their intended purposes. Also, it would be much faster and easier to do by having +Colibri edit a couple lines of code.

Re: Sgail
Xavian is right...mid level gets balrons and lurgs (Which are camped constantly by the people with relayers), and high level is wrong, sgail, and umbris?!? I don't know about everyone else but this seems just a little unfair to me
So my guess is by the current way things are running ie.. A couple vets complain and cry and stuff gets changed, then a few of us newer people can do the same and have it our way as well? I mean I am just curious as to how things work here. It seems there are a few around that can throw a tantrum and get things their way. Just wondering who I need to pay off to be able to do this?
Why not leave Wrong as a high end MID level spot, and just wait until you have the time to create a proper dungeon for HIGH end. The more you create gaps for players to farm the more people that will get fed up and leave the shard.

And here we go again...
REALLY? As of late the only crying and whining I have noticed is MOST new players wanting everything easy ... think of "why can we gain more and all skills in the training room". And you are right... we cry because we are bored
All these talks is starting to look like more "envy" than anything else... when I started and looked at Anarchy's gear I was like wow! I want to get there or I want to be part of the Nelapsi's rich club. It is not a matter of two months by the way. It takes time and commitment. Besides, like previously outline you DON'T have to be uber to enjoy the game!!!! Ask Cygnus!! Again, hope y'all don't take this personally and if you do 'oh well'... I still don't think that the people that did put the time should be punished cause there seem to be a divide, which in my opinion there's not! I use my alternate from time to time and do balrons with 5 nobles and cleric spells and she doesn't even have one single relayer or goc gear.
If you want to do Sgail with the future changes and can't handle it by yourself don't be ashame to call the calvary!
The last time I went there I saw all level of players... not necessarily vets with relayers. Also, if you want to do the balrons and lurgs stay there and wait your turn. All is fair in here instead of running away and crying that you never had a chance to do it.cope80 wrote:Xavian is right...mid level gets balrons and lurgs (Which are camped constantly by the people with relayers), and high level is wrong, sgail, and umbris?!? +Nyx said "I foresee that Umbris and fel Wrong will both be temporarily closed in the near future." So nothing has been change for now, why start whining already?? Besides with their busy schedule I doubt they can actually get sgail done while having these two areas closed.cope80 wrote:Why not leave Wrong as a high end MID level spot, and just wait until you have the time to create a proper dungeon for HIGH end. So you are saying that sgail is the middle ground? How about the peerless bosses? I think those can be done with only GOC and pets, will these areas be consider middle ground?Xavian wrote:I wasn't asking for a miracle, I was suggesting a different route is all. Where you get this conspiracy theory? Do you realize that the aura leggings are account bound? What good is for the "uber" people to report the glitches or having the area to themselves if they cannot sell the aura leggins, even if they get a second pair? Sgail was meant to be done in a group (I know it need at least two players), if there is a glitch or exploit well I am not sure but I know that if I go there I have to go with "OK" geared ppl otherwise it's constant death and more whining.Xavian wrote:When Sgail re-opens it will be a great place for people to show off relayers, as they can no longer use the bugs/glitches/exploits that are being fixed now. You realize that not everybody has 19 relayers? I have 7 and I still get one hit kill by most tough mobs... I still humbly ask for help from other players and there's no shame to ask help when you cannot handle it or you are not well equipped.Xavian wrote:Perhaps an alternate suggestion.. Here's a suggestion for you... how about you don't wear anything with DEX? You will even save +C with the editing... if you don't wear Dex gear or you are below 200 dex you won't instant heal? Voila! I can't think why "WE" the people that grind from the very beginning to be where we want to be, punished cause we became "uber"?Xavian wrote:Eliminating insta-heal also saves countless hours of changing mobs and redesiging areas. Do you mean the Veterans with 18 relayers whining because some people not in the "club" can farm a few of their spots? I would say that is a very correct assumption then. Newbies did not start all this whining of "People with no relayers can farm here". Yes some people whine in World Chat and want things for free. I however am not one of those people. I am however someone who plays countless hours a day and has put in the time and effort to be able to do anything I am currently doing. So because I play 16 hours a day for the 2 months I have been here, and have put in the time and effort does that mean because I don't have a relayer I should be booted from Wrong? Sorry but I don't share the opinion
