If I recall correctly (been a while since I used Wine - in fact Redhat Desktop 9 - that long ago) you can use
$ regedit filename.reg
should work.
Unless it's an NT based REG file as that;s all Unicode and doesnt like it!

Will look about when I wake up tomorrow and see if I can find a fix :)

Note* This is for users with a 64 bit pc, so if like me are running on a old 32 bit, dont look for the Program Files (x86) it doesn't exsist on a 32 bits pc, so just skip this part and it works like a charm!

Thx Brian, it still helped me set it up!

Ha Ha! oh yea. Glad you pointed that out. I forgot about the 32 bit windows not having x86. I will add that note in the Wiki.

I seem to have run into a problem. I am running windows 7 64 bit and have followed the guide to a T, (triple checked everything) but for some reason when I log in and get to the 'Verifying Account' part it just hangs there.

0.1.32 - Razor

5.0.9.1 (Patch 46) - UO

Appreciate any help on this anyone can give!

Has anyone had any luck in running Razor in Wine or Crossover (on a Mac)? I can get the client to run pretty well in Crossover but I have not been able to get Razor to communicate with the UOEX client. Any help would be appreciated.

Installed Razors latest download, did everything in the "set up" post and razor doesnt even load up, all i get is the cursor with the swirling circle on it like its trying to load, but i get no kind of pop up gump for the program. Running win7 64bit OS.

Can anyone give me a hand with this situation please ? Thank you in advance.

You want to make a reg file to point to your current install of uo ...

open notepad and paste the info and change the directory paths to your custom location make sure uo & razor are not running when you do all of this

save the file as razorregpatch.reg

doubble click on the file afterwords to install the reg patch and boom you should be up and running ..

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Origin Worlds Online]
"HarvestStageNew"=dword:00000000
"UniqueInstanceId"=dword:484b15f1
"LastHarvestTime"=dword:484bf8d8

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Origin Worlds Online\Ultima Online]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Origin Worlds Online\Ultima Online\1.0]
"ExePath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\\client.exe"
"InstCDPath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard"
"PatchExePath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\\uopatch.exe"
"StartExePath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\\uo.exe"
"Upgraded"="Yes"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Origin Worlds Online\Ultima Online Third Dawn]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Origin Worlds Online\Ultima Online Third Dawn\1.0]
"ExePath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\\uotd.exe"
"InstCDPath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard"
"PatchExePath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\\uopatch.exe"
"StartExePath"="C:\\UO\\Ultima Online - Excelsior Shard\\uo.exe"
"Upgraded"="Yes"
Change the Path Information In the above example of C:\\UO\\ to your destination folder IE C:\\Program Files(x86)\\ ... as an example ...

YOu should be good to go then.
