Anybody planning to step foot into Touria is going to need that 30hp desperately. It's also helpful in places like Sgail and Umbris, and the more challenging events. It's probably smarter to advise people on things one knows from experience rather than assumption. 30hp clearly doesn't seem important to you, but it's money well spent, even more well spent after the facets open.

Nyx, as already mentioned, until I get to 17 relayers I won't gain any extra HPs with BC relayers. I'll have more HPs without them as I'll afford more total relayers (buy 3 get 1 free sounds good for now). That is not an assumption. If I get to 17 relayers I'll decide if I need the extra 30hps at that point and if I do I'll happily pay the difference in ED loss. It remains to be seen whether the 30 will be necessary or not. If someone without BC relayers is unable to do the content effectively without the 30 hp then my personal opinion can be readdressed.

At this moment, based on conversations I've had with some elite players, they don't feel there's currently any content where even 50 hp makes anything more than a negligible impact. If you guys change that in the new lands... fantastic! I like hard gear floors, having come from heavy Everquest endgame raiding. There was nothing more fun than gearing up your best tank (a player who took the large focus of incoming damage) to a strict minimum required gear level in order to beat an event. It was very satisfying gameplay.

I have to agree with Kevan, as much as I hate to say it. I'd rather max my stats, regens and all that other good stuff as fast as possible. I've sold 15 or so relayers and gotten 4-500 for almost everyone of them. Some more, none less. So sure you're out 100ED per, but you wore it for a year so imo it's a small price to pay. Having those extra stats and such helped me get the next relayer faster.

*Must resist urge to make many troll-ee comments on this thread...*

Firstly...
Kevan - Decent Guide (glad nobody is mentioning the rat quest anymore lol...) although now that I mention it...
Dramoor wrote:This whole post is wrong.
Um... I don't know about many of the ultra modern nerfs (been inactive for a little while now) but although there other far more profitable ways of making cash Kevan listed a pretty good sequence of aims for newer players. Also gave some good tips on achieving those.
Aryck wrote:First off if you have mules / nobles, doing the noob champ is a horrible way to make money.
Kevan wrote:but overall the newbie champ is a poor investment of time.
I thought Kevan made that point pretty clear. Well clear enough that I got it first read through and I can't really read...
Aryck wrote:Like I said, it isn't a race.

The right answer: Bone Crushers.
Take that logic one step further and you will find the right answer: Titan's hammer > Bone Crusher. That isn't even including the fact that SoT gives more HP than a BC so you want some mix. So in reality Eric, there is no "Right Answer" (Unless you looking at max auction item relayers such as 17-18 Ancient Titans Hammer's (Do they even exist? I did go to an auction once *Confused*)
Aryck wrote:FYI: If you do do the GOC Quest, Netopir is the easiest since you can buy his drop for like 5k as it is not account bound.
It was so glorious back in the day when none of the quest was account bound and GoC's sold for 200ed.... sadly the days of only the pros in the knows are gone... that said time to hijack the thread: Buying all your dead mouse's for 5k. WTB 200 of them.

Um the cricket is back on. [/Troll]

Better post something reasonable to prevent post being moderated on:
Decent Guide

I added the line after Aryck made mention of it. Mentioning the new player champ originally was more as it being a rite of passage. It was a good point Aryck made that it really isn't a profitable venture at all. I still do think new players should run it once or twice though. Same with the also unprofitable GoC quest.

With that said though, the GoC quest can still be comparatively profitable if you approach it properly. If you get Blighted pieces between Lady Mel runs and get the rarer pieces like Skrat or the dragon in Labyrinth by logging quickly in/out while cleaning the house or at work when you have mere minutes at a time to play, you can actually make your real time spent on the quest a lot smaller. My first time doing the GoC quest I feel like I sat around waiting/looking for spawns for 12-14 hours. I think my second time I did it very efficiently, doing RL things like I mentioned above, and then coming back in just to kill the spawn, and probably did it in 1/3rd of that time by logging out at rare spawns, which is a pretty good gold per hour rate.

On the subject of s gail, it can (and has) been done completely alone with no relayers. They make it easier but they aren't necessary.

Before you needed 2 people to do the bridge, but you could do the 4 tiles with just 1 person if you used pets or other means. Now the bridge is changed (at least last time I checked) so you can do it from start to finish with just you and no relayers.

I find it hard to believe someone without relayers is going to do S'Gail. Perhaps with an escort or two that have relayers, but certainly not solo

Great post. Guys, I'm pretty sad in reading this. All of us MMORPG players and it comes down to one thing, 30 hp. Forget a good keyboard hotkey setup. Forget efficient macros. Weapon specials, weapon types, all strategies out the window. 30 hp. Forget teamplay with guildmates or pug's with other players.
If you can afford it, and want to do the BC route, great.
But I'd rather enjoy the game, do my looted weapon relayers, and leave the bc's for the rest of you. I'll have the utmost respect when I walk by the Titan's/BC players. I may even add 1 or 2 bc's in the future. But I'll enjoy the game, similar to Kevan's idea, as I have already for 3 months.
And how can the new facets be designed so only the players with that extra 30 hp can compete? The button masher next to us, with the 30 hp will sail through, while the experienced, well strategized player with 30 hp less will insta-fail?
Donate, get upgrades, etc. This shard is worth it, imo.
But let's remember good strategies will overcome that percentage when end game players routinely have more than 500 hp.

Hello:

I am a new player and I have to say: Thank you very much for the guide!! Is fantastic.

Why?

Because is telling some basis in a easy way to understand for new players that they now the acronyms, the mechanics of the shard and so on.

Discussions about PRO level should not be made in a NEW PLAYER GUIDE section... Donot you think?

For the news, is nice to have some tips to try to build a first path, then, whenever you gain experience, you will select what you want to do later and you'll create your own way.

Best for all
