Sorry for the late reply, sorry for ghosting

Post by +Colibri »

Hey all, just wanted to send out a "mass-email" to everyone who's waiting for me. Whether it was an idea, or request to look into something that's a problem, maybe a botched relayer, something that you feel should be taken as a priority, ... etc...
I often start my emails with "hey, sorry for the late reply".

Every now and then I get an email or a ticket, saying something like "I'm sorry if that what I said the other day offended you, I didn't mean anything bad" ... referring to what was discussed in public chat, or an email I didn't reply to, or something like that. Just so much that I don't see or reply to, and it seems like I'm purposely ignoring someone. It's not that, just so much to get to.

So if you are waiting for my reply or my help, please know that I'm not ignoring you or hold any grudges, or that I'd want you to go away or anything like that. If there's any actual rule-breaking, I'd make a new entry in our Moderation System and the system sends a pop-up (or come by directly to discuss what happened)... but that's not really relevant here.

On days when I know I'll have the time and energy, I wake up and I go straight to the code. If I start chatting and handling tickets, then a few hours go by, and I lose that edge/focus. And basically, while a ticket does get handled, the underlying issue still remains and then I just know I'll just see the same symptom again and again.

I can't blame the baby, she's a dear and fortunately quite healthy/resilient *knocks on wood*. (we were all semi-ill most of November, just one sore throat followed by a cold, then got better, then a flu-like thing, etc and Evelyn was healthy thru this). A bit more housework, but we also got more organized, so it evens out.

Anyway, going back to whatever first thing I can pull out of the pile, see you soon :)
