Grand auction - February 5th & 6th

Post by +Colibri »

Come by to the grand auction this weekend! It will take place in two parts with the uber items distributed among the two about equally (each having about half of the big-ticket items).

First auction: Saturday at 23:00 shard time (6pm eastern US).
Second auction: Sunday at 20:00 shard time (3pm eastern US).

The addon deeds as well as some non-addon-deco will be sold as duplicates in both auctions.
The Saturday auction will have staffer's personal items, and we will sell the Miniature Staff Figurines on Sunday. If there is any surprise unique item, it will be sold only on that auction.

Most of the items will likely be posted on Wednesday evening, but there might be some late entries, but until no later than Friday 23:59 shard time (basically 24 hours before the first auction).

And while we have your attention:
- There will be a week-long donation bonus starting this weekend.
- IDOC event is planned for the weekend of 19th and 20th. Might also be split among two days, and might be accompanied by a mini auction (or preferably somekind of a monster bash or a grab all event, fingers crossed).

The items are now on display - go through the green gate at the auction room.
The items that are on display are from both auctions. A few minutes before the first auction begins, only the items that will be sold on Saturday will be displayed. After the auction ends, the display will show only the Sunday's list of items.

Exciting announcement. Nice and early too! I am excited by the format of splitting the big ticket items (much better idea than that one time you duplicated the big ticket items for both auctions and people were picking up TH and Ancient Comp Bows for <100m on Sunday). Will be interested to see how it plays out. Keep up the recent trend of having incredible lists of big ticket items please :dance

Personally would love to see some more unique ethy's auctioned, or some we havent seen in a few years (it seems its always demons and skelly dragons these days)... That old horse Alejandro rides is nice, panda, diablo or something we have never seen would be awesome!

big ticket items are fun and they pack the auction room but maybe not too many of the game changer stuff like that deed that transforms a hit to whatever you desire and a few other items like that. there was a really cool ethey mount back in 2016 or 2017 it was i think a deed that let you choose between three unique mounts. the choices were a wow style wolf mount, some kinda bug i think also from an extremely rare wow mount graphic and i cant recall what the third choice was. that auction mount deed was won by baxster and the fool picked the bug instead of the wolf. and since you love to hear auction suggestions  how about a paper crown from winter quest rewards that can be used as an item appearance or relayer sample?

List of items is now on display and also posted in the initial post of this topic.

(There might be a late entry until friday midnight, if there's time and another few sparks of creativity).

:goodsuprise: :goodsuprise: :goodsuprise:

Insane lists... The server will be broke (gold wise) after this weekend. Is the "change weapon hit effect" the same as the change hit X to Y deed that was previously auctioned?

So much good stuff.... Watch the price of ED plummet lol.

Has blizzard given you a cease and desist over using the Diablo mount lol? Haven't seen one in a while. Otherwise, epic lists, nice work. Thanks for all the auctions and input recently. Looking forward to idoc event too...

Is this (https://uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=67171) the only other time you've auctioned instanced housing? What's different since then?

Harvested Organ stasis chamber and spiderweb carvings are both minor rewards for the Halloween quest. Hence there is thousands in existence. I don't even bother selling the spiderweb carvings (as culichi said they probably well under 50k in value) and the organs stasis chamber is a 100k item as well... Just putting this info up before anyone buys them for 1mil+

Maybe replace the SpiderWebs with a Titan Hammer and the Chamber with an Ancient Titan Hammer?

Tearing up here because not all powerful items are available at every auction!!

Should just be happy its the 2nd one this year and you obviously are NOT WORKING and able to attend.

Wish everyone had your luck.....

Still would like some way of absentee bidding - without trusting all ones hard earned gold to an unknown toon on net

About the instanced housing: Such a thing has been sold 2 times in the past, this is the third.
- It gives you exclusive placement rights, so you won't have any neighbors (unless you want to have them - you can still trade a house built here). If you want a neighbour to leave but they won't, you can contact staff and we will move the house outside of your instanced area (in a regular housing place). Just keep in mind that overall it's intended for you to have your houses and friends there, not start a property rental business where we'd be moving houses on a monthly basis.
- It includes free mergers, so if you move your houses here, you can join them without the 50ed extra.
- It's nice and secluded.
- All of this from the other forum post https://uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=67171 still applies. The post is from before we had the House Positioning system, the part about having to contact staff for placement doesn't apply. The part about free mergers still applies though.

@qbf Thanks about the info on Organ Statis and Spiderweb carvings, will remove them from this auction and mark them as non-auction-material. They used to be sold at auctions, then moved around, without any central filing about what is where (overall problem with making anything in this game).

@sw0038467 about titan's hammers and other ancient weapons: the list for this auction is big enough, let's save some of the goodies for a regular monthly auction.

@Possum about absentee bidding... well, could be coded, but I think it's appropriate for the bidders to be present somehow. I hope you can find someone trustworthy to help you out.
