orion setup

Post by Alamiester »

is anyone familiar with orion setup for excelsior shard? just curious, i know it works here, i just cant figure out how to get it running. from what i hear this 3rd party app is the combination of both easyuo and uosteam. i would very much like to get this running and start scripting for something new. thanks in advance.

after I installed the launcher I loaded it up it had me make a folder to download so i named it download .......that's where the files go inside the launcher folder after the update...I then set the uo paths ......... orion path is that folder you made and I think the important part is when you choose config client ver .......click that and then choose the from CLIENT.EXE FILE and find the client for uoex

add a blank profile and set up the shard.uoex.net and port 60 stuffs I didn't add pass or nothin......just name address port

i think that should be it you can launch I hope I didn't miss nothin

not sure if i can link this but try this place

https://discord.gg/dEmCgmAMjf

its the orion discord the guy that's making it is on there and more peeps that can maybe help

im asking around

some one said to ensure you are using unmodified client assets

did you click on configure client version in the orion launcher ( top right )
do that and pick from client exe file
navigate to your uoex client and pick that client.exe
for me a box came up saying 5.0.9.1
i hit that create button also and it saved a client.cou file into the uoex folder

also did you update it mine is 2.0.6.0
updates tab and check

and my uoex is ver12 i downloaded this one uoml_excelsior_expatch12.exe

GL I hope you get it

so i was able to recreate you error .............
i swiched my uo path files to a folder that wasnt uo
after choosing client and making that client.cou into the new folder i used i launched and got

error loading tiledata.mul

so just point to the ultima online excelsior folder (add new uo files directory on top right of launcher)
hopefully your orion path is right mine points to the folder I made when I first launched orion

then configure client ver on the top right also
pick the green one on top (FROM CLIENT.EXE FILE)
open the client in the window that pops up
client version configuration dialog pops up
mine sas 5.0.9.1
click create
it will save a file to uoex folder (client.cou)
then just hit the x on that window

ill upload a pic of what mine looks like with the paths

also if any one still have troubles [pm pie or add me on discord and ill help BryPie#9549

I think this should be all the info needed but its all slop so maybe ill make a better guide or someone that's more better with this stuff can (I'm just a gamer)

To be clear, the client version you want to specify is: 5.0.9.12. The 12 is important -- that's what tells the server you're on "expatch 12" and can be admitted to the game areas which require the special graphics.
