Please vote according to what you would buy for yourself/your guild if you could afford it [/quote]
I had a thought.
Would it be possible to allow such houses to be owned by the guild, not a person?
Basically, the guild master would get access to the owner functions as if they were the owner, including adding co-owners, but if the guild leadership changes, the new guild master gets to use the functions and the old one looses them.
No doubt the guild would have to buy the requisite house slots etc. Could even have the improvements come from the guild's funds not a players.

Or even purchase shares in house plot(s), that can be sold on the secondary market and you could speculate on house appreciation value in Greenacres. :)
Re: Green Acres Housing, Part Deux
No, that's not something that is really feasible. There would be an absolute ton of coding involved in getting that to work, and an awful lot of hassle for the staff to manage issues with a system like that. It comes with a lot of inherent problems to iron out - for example, what stops a meanspirited player from overthrowing the guildmaster by getting people to change loyalty to him, and then taking everything from the guild plots for himself and messing over the entire guild? We'd either have to deal with the drama when this happens, or completely recode how guilds work and how the guildmaster is changed. That's just the tip of the iceberg in terms of problems and hassles that we'd have to deal with in trying to implement that sort of system.
So it isn't really worth it. As it already stands a guildmaster could give the plots to their successor so long as that person has slots available. If a guildmaster suddenly disappears and never returns (or gets banned), that is unfortunate but it's also an aspect of the game that we don't really have much interest in changing. Some risk of loss should remain particularly for very special and high-demand things like these spots.

Out of curiosity, is there a ballpark figure as to when the green acres will be ready to populate with people?
