Sorry, I will have to disagree with you.
Loot is just fine here. And what they lack in the amount of gold drop, they make up for it in the amount of mobs. Case in point: Blood Dungeon. You can go kill a Balron and get 2k to 4k on the drop, or just swing around the corner and wipe out the 15 plus blood elementals in about the same time and make several thousand more. As a beginner, you are forced to face lower mobs with lower loot tables. But, that will change as you get stronger, get a few pets and explore more places. Pretty soon, you will be amazed at how fast you can make 100k. Good luck and happy hunting.

Even new players can make a quick bit of gold. New player appears in TC. Before you do ANYTHING else, go directly east where a couple of NPCs are awaiting escort. Use the red teleporter to take one to wherever they want to go (none will ask for dungeon!). Once "they have arrived", use same teleporter to go to training room and quickly level up first fighting skill to 75 (along with tactics). Go to new player dungeon. Take "Rat Quest". Once finished, you will have picked up a quick bit of gold and Organic Materials. Go back to Town Center and drop organic materials into the Exex box and then type "[exex". Sell organic materials... click on "balance" and take gold from the sell. Escort and NPC to another location again. In less than an hour, (if your skills started decent at first), you've made roughly 5k if not more.

Got a bit of experience under your belt? Leveled a fighting skill or two to 100? Watch General chat for champ spawns. Even relatively new players can get in on these (and not just the "Newbie Champ!). Sure they make take a bit to down, but roughly 30 minutes and you've made more gold than you can actually get back to town. Ah! But you were given a pack llama to start! Hop off that sucker and load it up!

Go back to town... escort NPC.... Rat quest... sell organics... rinse and repeat. First day on shard you can already make a good amount of gold. And let's not forget the amount of leather you can farm to sell either on auction house or to players who don't want to farm leather. This is all while working your skills up to something more. :)

Disagree as well...

I am roughly a week old on this server and was just recently thinking the complete opposite. Nothing stunning but decent and enough to maintain decent progression. And, compared to some of the other free servers my son and I tested before calling UOE home, it's much more player/progression friendly.

And, now I just hear it gets even better once I get tougher<wink>... woot! :dance

Any noob can make plenty of gold per hour after a few days of training skills up to survive, gold is not hard to make once you been here after a week, my first month here on this shard over 4 yrs ago i had 2-18x18 plots a maxxed mule and 4 maxxed nobles...If you work hard for what you want you will get what you want. :dance
After everything i've been threw, i'm still smiling...Not because i'm strong...But because i'm crazy!
Now that should scare you.....

Sounds like you need to advance your skills some and start hunting bigger and better things. Hit a few peerless dungeons, farm the mages in the citadel and you will start seeing some decent mid range gear and weapons. It wont be 8/8/8 rings and 4x58's but 6/6/6 jewelry and 4x38's can and will drop and that's a great start when it comes to finding advanced gear.

This important thing to remember is this isn't WoW or Neverwinter where they hand out epic loots just for logging in. Not literally but still most MMO's now are about earning $$$'s so they have made it easy mode on reaching endgame. Here you will have to put a little bit more effort than that.

If your trying to fin better loot, ask around odds are your just not hunting the right places.
