Bring Back Monthly Announced House Drop Day!

I am pushing for bringing back the old fun event, "Monthly House Drop Day"! OMG that was so fun! And if I remember correctly, we hit a few milestones on them!

What exactly is this 'House Drop' event? Is it where old playere houses are looted?

Yes. Old accounts that players dont get on any more decay and their house poofs. All the stuff falls on the ground for like an hour.

You can see some crazy things when houses fall also. When I first started I was in that desert around the temple where the Scorpion King is and just north of it was a dolphin just swimming around in the sand nowhere near water. If I knew how to snap pics then I would have done it...

I have mixed feelings on this issue.. I like the randomness factor because it gives players another reason to go exploring, if the House Drops were planned again, it would only increase inflation (a newbie finds 10m in checks/Mithril Ingots on a house and will pay *any price* for *anything*, thus making the item(s) worth more at the time).

I'm leaning toward 'no' though, for the sake of the shard as whole - but I do miss those after-auction-house-drop events. However, my vote stands at not changing the current system...

I haven't checked, but do housed go IDOC and follow the normal timers as on OSI once IDOC?

Now this would be an event and an auction... gates open from house to house.. everyone follows, the house and contents are up for auction, no one can look though the house. The winner gets 24 hours to empty the house.

but I agree with Blaze, the house drop thing as a general does not help the shard in any way so why bother.

I used to love going IDOC hunting on OSI. I know the guild I was in when I played would roam around and we would share the info with each other then split the profit from the loot after we found one.
Would be nice if they announced it here since the mechanics of the IDOC are a lot different here than on OSI. Maybe just announce the closest town that it is located at so people would still have to go look for it. Too bad you cant turn people's looters off client side though. Kind of kills the fun.

I agree that announcing drops would be bad for the economy for the shard. but instead of just having houses drop without warning as they do now they should at least go IDOC for a random time, maybe 24-72 hours before falling. This would do as blaze said and give people a reason to explore, looking for those houses that are about to fall.

For me, the best I ever got was 15-20 beehive deeds but it was kind of exciting looking for houses that might drop and then the mad rush, openning a chest and discovering 80 lanterns and a boatload of dyes.

I love getting something for nothing. For example, yesterday in fel I received a swift and brutal beating from a gang of Umbris soldiers for nothing! I was simply telling them how ugly their mothers must have been when they attacked me. Anyway, I enjoyed it so much that I came back for more beatings 3 or 4 more times ( can't remember exact # due to blows to the head).

I've seen houses with titans, SoTs and GoCs lying around as deco and mythril-covered roofs.

The only reason i would want this back for the deco that is dropped there is alot of stuff out there that isnt around anymore from past events that would be a shame to loss but hey they wont change it back because they dont clean out there server the same way they did before
