TRAVELING
I hate to walk so far everyday to check spawns and venture out to dungeons. It gets very tedious for the veterans. Can u make a way for us to mark in felucia or a travel wand? Make it hard to get item or a vetran reward after 6 months on the shard?? Maybe a super hard quest to find special runes to mark in felucia? I would love to see a super hard monster drop a special rare rune you could mark! I would work hard to obtain a special rune book to travel to far away spots or even PAY eds

I love to find something new and secret, its what drives the game for me. If I know there is nothing out there ill never go exploring the rest of the world.
In felucia most areas are not populated or they have very generic spawns. Id like to see custom monsters and items in remote locations that we have to go seek out like a treasure hunt! People love to collect things especially rares so populate the world with fun items for us to seek out!
I love the monster bounty bod idea, I think this could be great. Go on a search for big foot or the loch ness monster and hunt it down for a prize or have to kill 10 Paroxysmus for a super bounty! Maybe even a peerless boss bod with one of each monster on it:) This gets me all excited again!
I have now soloed everything on this shard and have found myself getting bored trying to find a new challenge. Id like to see some super hard monster spawns for veterans with some special rewards or a spawn that requires me to get my guild together to defeat!

ya, or even a year... an active vet... 6 months is a lil iffy, cuz u can put in your time for a month, an stop playing for a few months, come back ... not like that would really happen haha

I'm sure marking in Felucca is disabled to give everyone a fair shot at getting to the champs. I can't imagine why else it would be disabled. I disagree with having the veterans being able to get a special rune to mark there because it would seriously dampen the newbs chances on getting to a champ. On the other hand, I definitely have to agree that it is a pain to walk everywhere and boat everywhere. Once you've done it a couple times, it gets reallllllly ollllllld. I hardly ever go to Fel now because it's such a pain. I would support a global ability to be able to mark in Felucca though.
I would like to see an option to pay gold for a private champ spawn. This would rid the market of excess gold and give everyone a chance to do the champs they want to. I think this is a GREAT idea.

After our meeting today, it just reminded me of my request 8 months ago. I wrote this on the forum last year and just wanted the staff and veteran players to read it again. Id like to have some new and fun veteran challenges added rather than nerfing things that you think I conquered too easily...I worked hard and spent many hours to reach my level of play...It wasn't easy:)

To marking RUNEs in FEL!! I hate that they let us recall out now!!! They should of stuck to their guns and made a few more entrrance and exit locations and thats it. Yes is sucks that bio pets walk and what not but lets face it Fel should be Advance AREA. I am for the idea that Summon a bio pet would cost EXTRA thou.
I like the idea about new monsters... I for one always wanted fel to have custom monsters in the fel dungeons not with plain monsters.... Something for Vet Players to go explore and with monsters drop rare deco items or new rare items... but i say this with a low chance drop rate like 1 in 1000 but not a slow spawn like we have now... this 45 mins for a monster to spawn is silly! i rather kill the same monster 500 times and not be bored at the spawn....
I also like the idea of a monster bounty but leave peerless dungeons out of this.. instead have special Named monster spawn in random locations not... in dungeons but around fel and then you find him and kill it... this would make tracking skill useful !!!
While I am at it... I dont like the private champ spawn but i see how others never get a chance to do it but the same ppl that abuse them now will abuse the private ones and lets not talk about power scroll bags.
Also A good money Sink IDEA is a World teleport deed for 1 millon gold coin that you can place in your house..

I think each Fel city should be taken over by some type of monsters... brit has undead lets give moonglow the Shadow race since they are there already and then each town has a Monster Boss that spwans in a random location of that town or is summoned after you collect x items to spawn him.

I have always liked the idea of cities overrun with monsters. On a shard I played on years ago, they implemented an idea similar to that. On that shard, the dungeons would become "overrun" if they weren't cleared and the boss killed. Once overrun, the mobs would spill into the cities.
Stanely: Clear something up for me. You don't like the idea of recalling in Fel, but you're ok with selling a world teleporter for your home. Just wondering.
Personally, I'd like to see more monster spawn in T2A, but I realize that moving around there is a pain with the way OSI designed the layout of the land.

I think people have a reason to go and hunt. Gold and arties.
I think though what you guys are referring to is give people something to hunt when you do go exploring.
As I have stated I know nothing of coding and how hard things are to script. But here goes,
I think the idea of random spawning creature that drop rares gold etc is great. Something like no it never spawns in the same place twice. I like the idea of a guild running from one end of the world to the other looking for a hard to kill random spawn that had a 1:1000 chance to drop say veritas' armor.
Add incentives to crafting as well say there is random chance to dig up a special ore on one vein the in shard that is imbued with the ability to make a crafted weapon gain the same SP on a levelled weapon. Might help with the issue of random ore veins too??
Make treasure hunting more interesting by having a random chance of digging up a hardcore spawn that needs a group to take down and drops gems or something from the peerless quests.
Custom tameables that spawn in random locations that are 3 slots but with 2000 max str and HP
Quests that involve randomly spawned items In fel that again never spawn in the same spot.
I know the Mage inq quests takes time but everyone knows where and when these things will spawn. If the is a random chance something will spawn in the far ends of the fel world people will be forced to venture out into the world.
As I said I don't know about coding and some of these may be compltely undoable. If so treat this post as a what if dream list rather than a what could. Again think this sort of convo may produce a doable idea which could be great for the shard.

Well a house world teleport has nothing to do with fel.. so to clear things up it would be nice to have a world teleport deed for the house so you can use at your house... since its a deed that gets placed on your floor...so you can just walk over it and go to TC or dungeon or towns ...hope this clears it up

Im back playing regular now after being gone for a year...seems not much has changed except for inflation and nerfing the good stuff. I was really looking forward for some new challenges. I get that the economy needs to be fixed and regulated, but there are ez ways of doing this without messing with the GOCs, vending and exex. Again im not complaining because I do love this place
Here is my attempt to inspire a few new directions for the shard:
Make things less available from the beginning. I love a challenge...I remember running around the world looking for the noble spawns...that kind of stuff gets me motivated to go searching to the edges of the world map
Make items that have a limited use or limited charges (for ex: Make a glass sword, one use and it breaks, hits for 1000 dam) People whould pay alot for them and burn money, then the item is gone (rare and disposable) Look what just happend this week when u required a blue diamond to operate the powerscroll bag...diamonds were 3k per now sell for 50k per overnight...it works like a charm
There used to be items that would decay for ex: a blue torch that blew huge fire damage in a radius, would burn out in 7 game days. When people found this item, they played for 7 days straight because u lose the power within a limited time. Same with limited treasure maps that decay...lots of immediate fun, or u lose it
Look how rare and expensive grizzle bones were...and the jade orb before people figured it out...it was the challenge not the power that made it fun...we all love collectables and a good hunt
Make things far away or in a scary location so you have to work up your skills to get there, like stealth, teleport, lockpicking etc to get through the entry of the dungeon
Make an area where you cant wear any metal, or use any pets, or use druid spells etc. Then we have to make new suits, get new gear, spend money, apply new tactics, and execute a plan to defeat the challenge rather than the same old hack and slash
Make some group things that you must have 3 or more people to trigger, or team play to solve like the doom puzzle
I love that you have the Umbris Fort so difficult I couldnt beat it my first day back. I had to hunt for a few new items, rework my equipment, and make a plan to survive in there...a new challenge! I love it!
In the old box version of Ultima on the commodre 64, The city of Moonglow could only be found during a full moon. It was the only place you could find the rare spell component (mandrake) The fun was trying to locate the entry to the city because it opened in a new location each time.

I've been wanting to mention that there's hardly any reason to go searching around to the fringe edges of the world any more
rare spawns like Fire Dragons and Abominations hardly offer incentive (Well Abomination does, but thats about it)
This shard had crap loads of OC when it opened but these things are becoming dated.
