Recurring Quest Idea

Post by Tribecca »

Does anyone use Magic Wands? I purpose recurring quest NPC that gives quests for finding Magic Wands to fill. Perhaps a request for a certain wand or wands with a special reward.

Interesting idea, I feel like wands would need to do a ton more damage for them to be considered useful in combat....

As an alternative... consider #freethehues!

I just dump them for tokens. Although I do wish there was alternative uses for them. Like a machine that combines ten or more wands into something useful, but perhaps it isn't always successful.

With respect to the OP and everyone who has these ideas... +C has made it pretty clear in recent times that these little ad-hoc suggestions aren't going to be implemented and worked on. He is busy, now with less time as he is dad 2.0, working on the scoped GM abilities and the other "big picture" code to ensure shard stability (please go and read the roadmap threads, it might stop these threads from randomly popping up). These threads pop up all the time and are simply a waste of time and they remind us that this type of development is not happening.

Here's a list of ideas to implement, just so we don't waste time making threads about them:

- Elemental dragon spawns, ranomly in fel facet. Drops elemental teeth used to upgrade leather armour from their type.
- New steed, the Gymbuck, it looks like a frog and can cross rivers.
- Implement spellweaving, just for fun.
- Combine Doom arties - 100 random doom arties becomes a BC
- Rings of power - 9 for mortal men, doomed to die
- Rehash of the wiki
- Rehash of the New Player area
- Rehash of the Mentor Society
- New rewards for halloween dungeon
- smithy florins
- redo tailor florin rewards to make them better
- taming florins?
- hiding florins
- Make the herding skill useful. Say a special quest, actually, code a different quest for each town. You have to herd cats and dogs out of the town. You could get a special shepherds crook that adds +20 strength for each quest.
- Why can't we climb the trees?
- Elysium
- That funny horse in the custom graphics room should have it's own series of questlines also.
- Give the turtle in that room it's own quests too. Why we turtle when we can't free turtle?
- Infinite double upturned bandage token vendor stone. Make a complex quest where if you get 4000000 bandies and leave them upturned in the mud for a while they become "muddied bandages". If you combine and collect enough and upturn them all then you get a Gymbuck (see idea 2) and with the Gymbuck you can then collect the vendor stone and put it in your house to forever buy upturned bandages for tokens.

I have millions more ideas if anyone wants them... Or, we just let +C get on with freeing the hues and doing some AFK checks.

Again, apologies for being a smart-alec here, but these threads are pointless.

How about instead of pushing down on people of making suggestions you ask your old buddy +C why he can't afford to hire some help I'm sure a vet with your high stature can get some answers.

It would be useful if any as the intended abilities of the skill worked.

The herded animals don't continue to follow while walking.. normally they follow until they catch up to you.

Also many of the animals that were originally "herdable" are not on this shard.. basically anything that attacks is not herdable.

Sorry, I will jump off my soapbox

I can try, but he doesn't even answer my pages in game, so I doubt he would listen...

Hey +C, can you please look at hiring more staff so we can get our herding quest and wand quests made please. And also maybe the new staff can free the hues. As a vet of high stature, I think you should listen to me. Thank you.

PS: my main point I was making is that +C has politely, without directly saying, that he doesn't need or want these threads. He has a plan, it's been outlined, these threads just make it look like it's a stagnant ghost-town and don't need to be made.

PPS: Try smiling or laughing people, my absurd post had a combination of high brow, low brow, situational and absurdist comedy, covering all bases there, and I get not one lol. Sad times when we are all so far up our own behinds that we can't enjoy some humour. I ain't trying to offend anyone, just aiming for some giggles.

I laughed,JW.
It seems to me that the focus on major new overhauls is costing us players. Activate all the seasonal quests and run some events. People will come.
I rarely get on now except Halloween and Christmas.
I’d love to play more, but after 100 times anything gets old.

As far as I’m concerned this is where we are at.

If i had donated 40k euros (that is about 1/4 million in Brazil's currency) to this obscure corner of the internet... i would be very very frustrated too... after all, you could have a new house or a fancy car, but instead you have some pixelated itens and non-replied tickets... very disturbing fact. maybe its time to rethink your life, son

Mr. Warren, thank you for updating me. The last thing I want to portray is irrelevancy.
