Silent auction

Post by PaPa »

What about a silent auction were no-one knows who is bidding that way you wont know who is trying to out bid you. And or always having 2 of the same item were who ever won the first item cant bid on the second one. Just a thought on how it could be a little better and people wont have hurt feelings about being out bid. I'm not trying to bring up any hard feelings but when your as broke as I am I already know ill never get any of the auction items. But when one or 3 of the same people buy out the auction its just not right. Something for +Coli to think about.

Yup, as one of the many people who don't participate in the auctions, I'm generally against +C spending effort on revamping something that only affects a small slice of the population. It looks like he and the volunteers are working on new content and I've seen a number of quality of life improvements since I've come back so I like the track things are going.

That being said I'm not sure the "ignore them" approach really works. This is really a feud between two individuals and as long as they keep going at it, they will just fuel each other to do this every auction.

Sometimes Yuki, being an outside observer can make an issue seem bigger than it is.. You may be correct about the feud being in a small cell. I don't participate at auction, as I do not have the in-game resources (yet). To be honest, there are very few items I would ever see myself bidding on. So perhaps letting those couple people fight amongst them selves, and realize it is only them, is a good idea.

Perhaps I got caught up in thinking this problem was bigger than it is.
