Excelsior

I was just thinking if there is a way set up voting at the end of the year for player of the year. There are quite a few players I can think of that did a lot for UOEX during my 2+ years here. They consistently do things selflessly just to help create a better experience for other players. We could do a vote and the winner maybe get a prize from +C? Maybe it can be a robe or hat or something with their name and title and year? I am sure others can think of other prizes as well. Again, it would be great to see these players get some recognitions.

I feel like this would just be a popularity contest.

You can always send them a nice PM, maybe mail them a unitub or something.

We can have a popularity contest, wouldn't be hard to code something simple.

Maybe we could split this into 3 categories? Or actually four, first being the overall best player, and 3 sub-categories?

Well I don't think it will be a popularity contest. I think most players in uoex will vote based on what the criteria are. I think we can always try one and see.

Ok, but at one condition: the voting interface should have an option to exclude yourself from the final result, so if someone vote for you the vote is lost.

I would nominate Zalia -- she set up and maintains the massive taming area on ice isle on behalf of everyone who does taming BODs.

well my account is only 7 days old and i dont really know anyone outside my own guild, but i have used zalias place quite a bit for taming and the t-map locations

i cant really nominate any one person but i can give a few honourable mentions to these people, angel asawa, malkari, james crusader

they helped me find my footing, cos even though this is still UO it is uo;excelsior and some of the pretty basic things i used to do back in the old days have left me stumped here and they've been there to help and answer questions
and i've sure had alot of them
