Screenshots from the shard
Re: Screenshots from the shard
My view of the shard... backend stuff.
Generally we don't like to talk too much about what goes on behind the scenes but this is cryptic enough The first thing, that's already checked, is the reason we restarted today.
I found that sometimes making a to-do list extra fancy, with doodles, and putting it in plain sight, helps with motivation.

Oh look at them kitties!
Re: Screenshots from the shard
Testing code for house placement that ignores small dirt patches, while still taking actual roads into consideration. Usually it's the little things that take a lot of time, but then that's what makes all the difference.

That setup is sweet. It looks like a Malibu mansion pool and hot tub.

Re: Screenshots from the shard
The market for castles is dead. Unless you like the castle layout (most folks do not) 2 keeps (6038 storage) or 2 18x18s (customizable and 4874 storage) are better values than one castle (4688 storage). There's a residual market for folks with grandfathered 1-slot castles jockeying for better locations but for that you need un-merged castles plots where you can drop the castle and let the buyer move his.Muolke wrote:Nice job with the 4 castles...will we be seeing those on the market soon? lol
Perhaps +C will rebalance this and add storage to the 2-slot castles so they become good values again.
Also, I don't really get merging castles. They're not like 18x18s where you can merge them and then walk between them. You have to build stairs over the ramparts. Yard wand items to bridge the gap are a lot cheaper than 50ED and some bridge designs come out really nice. I have seen some clever designs that graft 18x18s to the south of a castle butting up against the castle door but merging 2 castles? I don't get it.
