Less than 24 hours to go, before WEIGH IN closes. Please make sure you have submitted your fish before MIDNIGHT (SERVER TIME) March 31st.

Shortly thereafter, I will tally all the BEST CATCHES from each player, and award the top prizes to the best 10.
(Remember in the case of a tie, the fish caught first wins the tie-breaker)

I will post the names, weights of best catch, and the prizes awarded here within a day or two after weigh-in closes.

I will then pull fish at random for the other prizes. It is possible for 1 person to win multiple random prizes in this category.

After all prizes are posted, I will contact all winners via in-game PM, and set-up an exchange.

Hopefully our efforts will show the 'powers-that-be" that players here enjoy the skill, and maybe when they are able, will add some customs to make it even more enjoyable.

this contest start in mar-03 but you said mar-01 to mar-31 ? friend already got bigfish(200-250!) before mar-03? why start mar-01

I started planning it on March 1st, but due to work, I was unable to get on and announce it on the first.

I will look into and review the prize order.

That's very interesting. I had been wondering if the chance of extra resources on certain rods worked on special items like Big Fish or White Pearls etc.

Wonder if it might work on SOS chests too ????

It should work on White Pearls, it works on shipwreck items, I'm not sure about SOS chests.
It doesn't seem to work on maps/mibs/nets that come in serpents.

Not 100% sure if it is wood specific, but my purpleheart fishing rod has extra chance of finding resource on it. One has 1%, i had another at 2% somewhere too., Actually i have a zircote and a petrified rod with the extra resource on it too.
