How should I level my Blade of Death? [New player]

Hello everyone, I'm new to this shard. I have a level 100 Blaze of Death with no points spent on it. Could you share some advice
on how to go about spending them? Thank you!

Avoid anything that's not a +hit or dex/str/hp/spdmg (basically anything that doesn't boost your damage in some form). As it's a halberd, they don't excel at single target damage, so make this your whirlwind/hit area weapon. You should have at least two weapons. One for WW/area, one for single target damage, such as a yumi.

Add 50% lightning off the bat. It'll boost your damage fairly well, for both single target and multiple targets. After 50% lightning, you'll have 295 pts left.

Next, you'll want some more +hit areas on it. There's a few options here:

• - 50% hit area #1 / 23% hit area #2 (3 pts leftover)
  - 25% hit area #1 / 25% hit area #2 / 23% hit area #3 (3 pts leftover)
  - 20% hit area #1 / 20% hit area #2 / 20# hit area #3 / 8 str / 7 hp (2 pts leftover)
  - 25% hit area #1 / 25% hit area #2 / 8 str / 8 dex / 8 hp (10 pts leftover)

If you need dex/str/hp, consider the last two options. If you don't and want to focus on a weapon that can output the most damage, the first two are good options. Avoid adding dmginc, ssi, hld/hla, LL, SL, etc; just focus on +hit spells/hit areas. Stam leech is worthless; use divine fury to replenish. Life leech can be supplemented with lich form/curse weapon. HLD is nice, but better for single target weps. HLA is worthless.

You could also do 50% lightning/50% harm and maybe add one hit area/dex/str/hp with the points leftover. This would do some serious damage to targets in direct melee range at the cost of high hit area damage.

Also, the combat focus guide in my signature is worth a read; it goes into what you should focus on... in combat... Guess I named it well ;P Definitely worth a look, goes over weps/abilities, skills, spells, etc.
